- Its Your Resume! Many of you are posting wondering where scammers are getting your phone numbers. I have found that many times I get scam calles if I post my resume on Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, or other job board websites. Many times, I have also found that some of the job boards will post your information on the internet in a broad form rather than just on their website. Another words, if I type in my name in a search engine website (such as Google, Bing, etc). the way it shows on my resume, then all of a sudden I find an posting that shows my entire resume for all the world to see. No one is made to log into that certain job board or pay a fee to see my resume, etc. Its as if you were doing a simple search on the internet for a generic item.
ResumeBucket.com is one such website. Even though I never signed up to use their specific website, they took it upon their self to get my resume off of either Monster.com or CareerBuilder.com and post it on their site. When I did an indepth research hunt to find a phone number for ResumeBucket.com and called them to complain that I never signed up to their website nor did I appreciate them fully broadcasting my resume on the internet for anyone to read; they were shocked that I was not happy about them "doing me a favor" and "helping me with my job search." What damn right dodoes a resume posting site have to assume I or anyone else wanted their help in the first place, if I did not actually sign up to use them!...Let alone that they ignorantly and irresponsibly posted my resume as a broad search link on they internet!
The resume websites are really the ones that we should be complaining about getting Washington D.C. to heavily fine if our personal contact information is being sold, given out, or erroniously displayed for all the world to get ahold of and use for scamming purposes! The resume websites need to be held accountable for what they do with the information they collect from people that are using their websites. If Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, or any other resume website cannot secure our personal information, then they should not be in the business of collecting the information in the first place. If they want to own and run such a business, then they need to be willing to be responsible and accountable for the personal information that they are using to make the millions and billions of dollars!...Otherwise, they need to forefit and terminate the business!- Caller: None given

- Guy LNumber came in on caller ID as Rochelle Par NJ - since we have relatives in NJ I answered it - company trying to sell extended warranty service on our car. Don't be fooled they try to make it sound like they are calling from your existing manufacturer warranty service but they are not. They are an independent company that may or may not be legit - the fact that they are trying to make you think they are calling from your existing vehicle company when they aren't makes me think that they are shady.
