God!! I cant believe I became victim of this scam... Guys, Please suggest if we can do something about it and to get our hard earn money back.. I already Informed this to Western union fruad hotline.

I became victim :-( they have one more number 2026575862. I informed Western union fraud hotline about it.
Let me know if we can do something to get our money back

So these people called me and told me that I need to pay $251 to Western Union and I can get this $7500.00 grant. So I asked them if this was fake and the woman told me that this was a recorded line and if they were fake would they have a call back number. lol So.. I go to my good ole friend GOOGLE and what do I see? This number saying it's a scam.  

WOW! ha ha ha! Crazy, do not send these people nothing!

im so glad i found out the information im reading from about people about this scam thats going on im not going to lie they got me good with $7500 grant and wire them $250 for the money to go straight to my banking direct deposit they got my banking info. from me like the damn fool i am but i didnt wire them the money thats a shame people like that would want to do that to honest hard working people but let this be a learning experience to all of us  cause this world could be real crutty!

I have never been this close to a scam before. I could barely understand the woman who said I had a 7000.00 government grant waiting for me. They asked for my bank account number for direct deposit. I said no. Then for a credit card. I said no. Then she said she would send cash through Western Union. She said I need to call 202-640-5461. With the reference #NY653. I did not call. I had a feeling something was up. I googled the number and found out that it is a scam.

Said I needed to bring 255 dollars to Western Union store and they would give further instructions on phone after I arrived.

I just receieved a call from them saying I had been a winner of a $7500 government grant. I thought it was a scam from the beginning because they knew everything about me and then they asked me for my bank account number or my debit card number so they could put the money in my account. I was too scared to do that so I asked them how else could I receive the money and they told me to go to the nearest Western Union Store and I would have to put down a $255 deposit. Right then and there I knew it wasnt true because why would I have to put down a deposit if I won money and plus seriously how are they going to just give that much money away. Im so glad I didnt fall for it!

received a call stating I had won a grant 7500 tax free had my correct name but wrong address and wanted my date of birth. gave me a number to call back stated he was from health and human services dept 200 indepependence  washington dc 20201 obvious scam

It is unfortunate that these individuals were able to successfully con you in to their scheme. Trying to locate and prosecute these individuals is nearly impossible. Their inability to speak English and not understand the very basic questions being asked should have been a red flag that something isn't right. Why would someone who is calling on behalf of the Federal Government of the United States lack the proper use of the English language?

They called me stating my child had received a 7500 scholership and they needed the SSn when I told them I can not do this over the phone they hung up I tried calling them back several times with no answer. BEWARE

smh...they told me the same thing but i didnt hear them say nothing about paying a deposit

It was quite clear it was an scam and that the person was struggling just to read the numbers.  I hope the F.B.I catches these people.  I didn't call the so called accountant to confirm my information or to give banking info.  Caller ID just said Wasington DC.  Yea the govt is gonna send cash as an option.  Too many reed flags!!!!

If you go to the police station with whatever information you have, like your bank statement if they withdrew money directly from there, and the phone number they called from plus the one they gave you, then they might be able to track it down. There is an internet scams officer in my local precinct so I assume that there will be one in every precinct. I hope these people get caught. I thought it was weird from the beginning. I asked for the name of the website and it just took me to a page with ads for grants. I called my bank right away and told them not to make any debits to this company, because sadly in the beginning, I did give them my checking account number.

I just got a call from a man w/a heavy accent telling me that i have been selected to receive a 7500.00 grant from DC for paying my taxes ontime and for not being a criminal.  I have to go to a WU and send him money in order to get the grant. He wanted to verify my info and I said give me your info and the number toyour office before i give you mine and he said his number was 202678 and then hung up.  I looked at my caller Id and it had nothing for that incoming call.  I called my local phone co to see if they could get the number and unfortunately they cant.  This guy had my name address number.  I didn't confrim anything but it's pretty scary that he had all that info.  I want to report this, does anyone know who to report it to?

I got a call from unavailble # me tell im i was approved for free grant money 7500. I even got & id transfer number ms359 & told to call 202-640-5461.So i callled found out they want me to pay 295 first,then i would recieve the 7500.So i call the the senator,governor, and fededal.They tell me there is no no funds available,i call them back told them i was talked to those people & they tell me they been doing this for years.I googole the number sure enough it was a scam.So if u get a call saying u get free money & have u call another number,DON'T DO IT ITS A SCAM!!!!!!!

just recieved a phone call from these people saying they were calling on behalf of the us govt. stating that i had been slected to recieve a grant for $7500 and that it would be sent via western union. tried calling the number and no answer. so i did some research and came across this ...

They are still trying to scam people, there in major trouble

They gave me  call today telling me  that the goverment is giving me a 7500.00 dollars grants  to expend where i want, I 'm suppose to call them back and give to their manager a pin number that they gave me, only after thar i can  go to money grant to take the money.I never call them.

this #5755461575 called me three times. coulnt get through the first 2 times but kept asking for me. they finally got through and told me because i pay my bills ontime the govt. was giving me $7500 to renovate my home buy a car or pay bills with.they made it sound so real by telling me i couldnt spend it on beer or gammbling. they asked for account # but i wouldnt give it. i asked them if they could mail it since they had my address but they said they could do it through western union. because it was such a large amount i had to give a security deposit of $261. i figured western union would be safe but i asked my grandparents and they told me to call the police first. i did and they told me it was a scam.
