I am on the do not call list guess they will get reported.

204-949-3108 called twice yesterday. They came up on my caller ID as POTS Phone MB, but it’s associated with Bank of America and what they call ‘their insurance partners’. I've recently asked BOA to take me off their calling list and their insurance partner calling lists since I've had a bunch of calls recently (see below for some of the numbers).

There's a BOA privacy website you can access to opt out of these telemarketing calls: www.bankofamerica.com/privacy/ Under the Set Your Privacy Preferences heading, click on Set Your Preferences and follow their directions.

You can also CALL their privacy line at 1-888-341-5000, which is what I did. There's a 2-step process to stop these calls. 1-They'll opt your phone number out of any BOA marketing. 2-Then they'll connect you with their insurance products number: you enter your phone number and it automatically opts you out of their insurance partner marketing. They assured me that there were no other partner marketing numbers to opt out of, so these two should do it.

FYI:BOA explained the reason why no one is on the line with so many of these telemarketing calls: it's an automatic dialer. If a sales rep happens to have an open line when your number is called, they're connected with you. If there's no available rep at that time, you get the click and the hang-up experience, and your number is recycled in their system to dial again later.

The BOA or their insurance partner numbers that have harrassed me in the last 2 months are:  800-260-4306, 800-814-6326, 714-551-5579, 888-665-9900, 405-285-0754, 405-285-0551, 402-982-0584 and 805/309-5551. Some come up as Farmers Insurance on Caller ID, some come up as Insurance Services, 800 Services, Call Center, ... they're all connected.

They've been calling me regularly and not leaving messages.  I googled the number and found you....and an unpublished number in winnepeg, MB.is says Pots Phone MB on my caller id

called today! how odd

POTS called twice this evening within 2 1/2 hours without leaving a message. Thanks to Judy in OKC inquiring that the connection is with BOA.  I'll go to the web site that she mentioned to opt out.

Calls & hangs up b/4 anyone can answer.


According to whitepages.com, this number is an unpublished landline number in winnipeg, manitoba (canada). yellowpages.com shows no listing.


Some reports say it belongs to Ipsos Reid, a polling company.


This is a reasonable assumption, that this line is just an internal extension or ringover line for the company, as their contact persons there have quite similar numbers:

This is a polling survey about things they show on tv.

Indian woman I could barely understand calling w/ some survey about television (or so she said)... I hung up on her.  They have called before & left no message.

yep, they call me about twice daily.....I never answer .....if I dont recognize the number they can talk to my unfriendly answering machine!

This company sent me a free magazine (Better Homes and Garden) and wanted feedback about 10 minutes worth of reading it.  No big deal.

called back number, its a research marketing company Canada/USA, there is a option that they offer to have you number to be taken off their call list. I used it will see what happens.

Received a "call" on April 6th left no message.  Caller ID shows it to be MANITOBA CALL.  Who or What is that?

Friday night. April 16th. This number has popped up on the Time/Warner TV as soon as the phone starts ringing. Happened three times this evening since the family has been watching television, between the hours of 7 pm and 8:45. Annoying. Just wanted to keep this thread current.

Keeps calling and does not stop calling either.

Received two calls in the past week from this number. I dont want to answer because I dont know who it is but they also dont leave a message.

It is a survey business in Manitoba as far as I know.  They wanted to know if I read Reader's Digest and Time Magazine.  They said they will send me a Time Magazine and they will call me in a few days to do a survey.
