I just got my new iphone and have been getting calls from this 209-701-0285 every evening. I haven\'t answered and they haven\'t left a message. Very annoying getting this crap on my cell phone. Can I block this number through my verizon account?

They call on my cell then hang up when I answer.

Calls everyday from this #. I always report their calls to the complaint dept. at the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY website and hope each of you will do the same.....maybe the calls will slow down.

Cardholder Services obvious spam violates the DNC list and unable to call back. Report to www.donotcall.gov file a complaint.

I am tired of these calls and they will not connect me to a supervisor.  They keep saying this is my last chance to lower my interest on my credit card.  how do I get them to stop calling me???

Got a call from this number, there was a woman on the phone who said she was with verizon. She knew my first and last name and asked me to so some analysis. I said, "No thank you." And she asked again. I replyed "I said no." and she told me she was going to pull up my account information. I hung up.

Showed up on my cell as 206-701-0285.  I did not answer, I get too many calls from phony companies that I've learned not to pick up if the area code is not from around here...

Got a call from "(unintelligible) Technical Support" and was told that the computer we are using is "causing errors and reporting it to technical support". I kept asking him for specifics, and then pressed him to tell me what version of Windows was reporting the problem? He said "XP or Vista". I told him "impossible - all the computer I have run Linux. Ubuntu to be specific". He said that Linux was only for "Big Companies". He hung up when I told him that "I haven't paid for a version of Windows since 1995... POWER TO THE PEOPLE, MAN!"

Next time I will be the most sincere, wanting to do whatever they want me to do, most technically inept person they've *ever* talked to.

Typical stuff. They call and then disconnect the call.

Rec'd a call from this number saying the government was giving me $7,000 but I couldn't tell anyone.  Told them to take me off their list.....we'll see.  I, too, am on the do not call list!!!!  GRRRRRR

I got a call and didn't answer because I was in a class. After class I called it back and got the "disconnected or no longer in service" recording.   My phone says they called from Seattle.

stupid telemarketers and freaking companies who sell my info to 3rd party people.  Obama is in enough trouble for these calls to lower interest rates...I want NOTHING to do with these STUPID stimulus packages.  What idiots...yes I think that way highly of the USA president.  ENOUGH debt and enough people sponging off of society.

This seems to be a multi-faceted scam operation judging from some of the comments. I applied online for a loan with Springleaf, and two days later I get a call from this number, calling themselves Payday Express; likely the very same man who can barely speak English, telling me that I was approved and gave me the number 347-568-5258 with a loan approval number... I called that number and I was told I could get 7500.00 at an APR of an astounding 5% over 36 months. (Yes, that says five percent.)

That would be frankly impossible with my credit score but I was assured they give out many loans so they can keep the interest rate down. I was already sure this was a scam based on that, but I played along to see the hook. I was put on hold for a couple of minutes and upon returning I was told the loan was approved but the approval officer said that it would need to be insured. No problem, if they want to add insurance to the loan, i'm okay with that.... No, they wanted a payment of 200.00 up front to activate the insurance after which they would release the funds.

I called BS and ended the call as you know what would have happened. Had I given them the 200.00 I'd simply be out of 200.00 with no loan forthcoming.

This call came through to our office and they repeatedly called back and every line was lite up as he said he would to ruin our business for the day.  It went on for hours and from time to time one person would talk to them just so calls could get through.  They scamed one of our personnel and were trying to get more money out of them.  What they didn,t realize is they really did call and annoy the wrong people this time.   Our Attorneys in the office were on it in a heartbeat.

Land Line from Seattle Washington. Alleged Telemarketer. Everyone has something in common, you need to post what's been going on with you to match up with others. I have been on Craigslist and an open Workers Comp Claim with the government. I also have a feature on my phone ..CALL TRACE *57 ... get it, use it, and report them.

What the hell does Obama have to do with it?  They are criminals, pure and simple.  Yes, they are sponging off the innocent, however, our government is not a part of it, that I am convinced of.  I don't think all the talk of deficit and government shutdowns has initiated a new practice of scamming citizens out of 200.00 each...we have the IRS for that!

I too have been getting calls from these guys....they started just a few days following a new car loan...which I thought was weird.
