Just recv'd a cal at 0740 PST, recording stating themselves as I.R.S. with the same routine statements as noted here on this blog site....Just to say, "No Government" agency starts to work before 0800. That is fact.....SR...T...

Yeah they called me and I called my accountant that does my taxes and they said that it's FAKE! They are a scam and they want our money! The ONLY WAY the IRS will get ahold of us is by mail NOT a phone call. The guy I talked to was from another country and couldn't hardly understand him! I told him I wanted to speak to someone that I could understand and he hung up on me! LoL So right there tells ya that they ARE scamers!! FAKE as a three dollar bill! Have a good day everyone! 😀

This number called and identified themselves as the I.R.S.  and stated I was being sued and contact them immediately!

Got a call about the same recording of IRS filing lawsuit. Called back and got a person who I could not understand and finally said something about "misdialed" (I think) and hung up on me.

I got the same threatening type of call. I was instructed to call 206-734-4414. The following IRS website (http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Warns-of-Pervasive-Telephone-Scam) contains a link to the Treasury Inspector General's website where you can report this kind of crap. I did so just today. There's a red button near the top of their page for reporting scams.

Same as others , call at 730am  stating that I was being sued by the I R S , a recording,
Called back and got a record and got busy signal when called back.

This is a scam call.
This scam has been posted on several websites as well in national media.

Those that fall for this or any other phone / e-mail scam are morons that keep these crooks in business.
(You, along with our crooked politicians and bureaucrats that refuse to crack down on this scum)

You do NOT get anything for free.
You do NOT win anything you did not register or sign up to play.
You are NOT being investigated if you get a phone call informing you of it.
(You will only know you are being investigated by IRS, FBI, NSA, FCC etc once they show up with a warrant.)

Lastly, ever notice that most of these calls originate from the extremely LIBERAL areas of our country?

I received a call from this number telling me the IRS was filing a lawsuit, then I received another call a couple weeks later final notice. So I called this number to have a  person on the other end could hardly speak English, when I told them to call my lawyer and accountant he started screaming and yelling  I just hung up.

I called the number back and got a real person.  He said he was taping the conversation and I said that's good cause i am too and he hung up on me....so I called him back, cause I wasn't done yet.  Needless to say he called me a dirty American [***]....lol.  oh"  so I  ripped  him a new one.  That was very entertaining........If anyone calls you from  the number 206-734-4414, please report it the to "Federal Trade Commision"  at 1-877-382-4357.  They will tell you not to respond to the call and def do not irritate them....lol.

the elderly people do not realize it is a scam.  In their world you could trust people and everything was done on trust and integrity and a hand shake... not everyone in on social media.

Same as everyone else. IRS is suing. I agree with the others. Wondering how many seniors they are taking advantage of.

I received a call from someone stating that their name was officer Derrick badge # IRM2491.From this phone number (206)734-4414 claiming to be the IRS, saying I owed them $4000. As I told them no, I hadn't filed taxes in years. He went on trying to explain it to me, so i said could you speak up. I couldn't understand what he was saying. He asked me was he on speakerphone I responded, " I don't understand speak up." So he said well we will just issue a warrant for you and hung the phone up in my face. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor they still continued to hang the phone up. It's sad that people will try to scam you out of your OWN MONEY.

SCAM CALL

The caller had a heavy Indian accent that was difficult to understand.  He verified my name and address (he gave them to me- I didn't give them to him).  He said his name was Brian Andrews and he was with the IRS.  He said a lawsuit was being filed against me and that they were auditing 2008-2014.  Asked if I was willing to pay those taxes.  When I challenged him- he said that in 45 minutes the sheriff would be at my door with an arrest warrant for me- guess he doesn't know the law.  I laughed at him and he told me to hang myself.  Guess they don't get to get scam money from me.

Just got a call from IRS?  Suing me??!!

I called back on my cell and someone answered. I couldn't tell if the person was foreign or [***]...couldn't understand them plus it was so noisy in the back ground.  I ask who I was speaking to and, again incomprehensible.  I finally told them this was wrong I pay my taxes unlike Sharpton! Then they hung up.

Got a call from 206-734-4414  same as all others reported. Bogus call threatening me with lawsuit & that this is my final notice from the IRS. Hubby said this us a scam and ignore it!! The IRS will not call you. They will send you a letter in the mail.

Same experience as the others, got a call saying it was IRS and that the message was a final notice of a lawsuit. I called back twice and spoke with someone who hung up as soon as I asked what the call was about.

calls telling me I have a lawsuit from IRS. How can we report this?

This number 206-734-4414 called me today aat 2:30p.m. EST with a recording that said that the IRS was looking for me.  The IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and that would br my only notice.
