This is the number for Amazon Restaurants, at least in my area. We ordered food, when the delivery guy was at our house, he called from his car. Why he didn't ring the bell? No clue. But might be their protocol. So, not "unknown", but dinner!

Amazon delivery service, trying to confirm location of my address. Our mailboxes all being on one side of the street apparently makes it difficult to tell which house corresponds with your number.

Got a call from this person saying they were Amazon Delivery Services, before they quickly hung up. I didn't order anything from Amazon.

if # is amazon, they should leave a message.  If I don't know the # I will not answer until they start  a message and I know it isn't spam.  I get packages all the time from amazon and none have ever been preceded by a phone call.

It isn't Amazon. The people here saying it is are part of the scam.

It was Amazon delivery but did not respond to my saying hello.

Caller say's he's from Amazon and asking if im home. Then hangs up.

Amazon Fresh delivery. Not a scam. They hang up because they have a zillion deliveries to make.
