never ordered a package from Amazon

Caller claimed to be from Amazon but called me four days before delivery was due. He asked for my name and my address. I refused to give it to him. He then called back from 877-252-2701 and again I refused to give my name and address. He was slightly aggressive and stated that he would send me an email which I would have to answer. I never received an email. My package was delivered uneventfully four days later. Driver did not now anything about any problem with my address, etc.

I just got a call from this number. When I hit redial it won’t go through. Then I  called the number a lady answered and said she has not made any calls. Anyone else having local numbers calling you and then if you call it back the people don’t know anything about a call! Local numbers in my area are getting spoofed by telemarketing - I get about 5-10 a week.

hummm..... That don't quite make sense,... but in any case, numbers can be spoofed.  Best advice is to be careful about personal info you offer or confirm.

They called twice today in quick succession before I blocked the number.  I accidentally hit call back while looking for the block option, but hung up asap, no idea if the call had even connected.

After looking at this it's possible that it's Amazon as I am expecting a package today, however, they have never needed to call before.  The other thing is that I'm in Canada, having a number from Washington call me and not even leave a message is too suspicious for me to unblock it.  If it is my package, they'll just have to get a map if they can't trust their GPS.

It’s an Amazon Delivery driver (not UPS, FEDEX, DHL etc).  Usually in a regular vehicle also.
