I just got the same call. He was very difficult to understand with heavy foreign accent. Insisting I need a program for my computer so it doesn't "crash down". I just said, No thank you", and hung up! We are on a DO NOT CALL LIST....but still get numerous telemarketing calls!

Got the call today. The same ploy, different number. Was told my computer was infected.
Asked for the call back # in case we were disconnected. Told that it was only for clients.
Because of the heavy accent, (possible India) asked here he was located. Told UK. Caller ID said San Antonio, TX.

As I am a technician, I am aware of this scheme.
1) A download is suggested, and the payload installed, if you fall for it.
2) Now installed, the payload will display the numerous detected virus, rootkits, and malware.
3) After the get your credit card #, and you charged (usually less than $100), the final payload installs.
4) Your system will not connect to the internet.
5) Your credit card is charged with $$$$ purchases. (1 client had 2 airline tickets Philippines to S. Korea)

They called it raing 3-4 times then hangs up I we called back again and again but no answer wtf

So nouthing to worry about

Received a call, did not answer, left msg stating that they were from a Medical Alert co and that someone had prepaid for the total system for me (also shipping, absolutely no charge to me)  I did not call back because I don't think anything is free for no reason these days and besides my sister received the same call last week but she did talk to them, she refused and said they were very rude

Just got a call from this number.  Same as above, Windows Tech Dept wanting to access my system.

Got a call from this number on April 22.  Male with heavy Indian accent claimed to be with Microsoft support and said my Windows computer was infected.  He asked that I turn it on and I asked how he knew I had a computer and he said he had the record of where I bought it.  I had some extra time so  decided to have a little fun with him and asked him where I bought it.  He said, "You don't know where you bought it?"  I told him that I knew where, but didn't think he knew.  After a few more exchanges he said I asked too many questions so I must be a cop.  End of call.

this number has been calling our business constantly. it is a scam and we would appreciate you investigating and placing on do not call list.

I have recieved calls from this "company" numerous times. The person claims to be trying to give me a future house estimate, what ever that means. He has made multiple threats on my life. He is obviously indian. Mine too was from texas. I suggest blocking this number.

Yes I got this suspicious call. Texas came up on my caller ID. Some guy with a foreign accent said my computer was not receiving updates from Microsoft and was I aware of this? I told him I was sure $500 and my password would fix it, right? I then told him to put me on his don't call list. I get anymore calls from these weasels and im reporting them to my AG's office.

Got a call today from a foreign guy. Said he was with microsoft in Deleware.  Phone number said TX.  Want to "fix my computer" from long distance.  Wanted access to my PC.

Got a call today. Male person with thick accent. Claimed our computer was sending threatening errors to the "global" system. My husband hung up. He called back and was quite incensed, said it was not a scam, we asked which computer was sending these messages as we have more than one. Also told them to send us a letter to state the facts.

Same guy with heavy accent just called me from this Texas number.  I asked for a call back number as well and he gave me a Chicago number 347-471-8192.  I asked him for access to his computer before I would give him mine. He kept trying to get me to pull up the bogus "failed" reports.  There has to be a way to stop these scammers...

Got a call from this # just afew minutes ago. I live in Canada and the call was to my cell phone. When I answered it they asked for my husband. I knew right away something was up cause I don't have a husband.  Thought I'd play along and said no he's not here could I take a message and they just hung up on me........ The nerve of some people........ get a life will ya....

I got a call from this number at home, it sounded like a India call center.
The caller said their name was Jahad and he was from Microsoft.
He said my computer was reporting many errors to the Microsoft server.

I stopped him and asked him what my computers' name was.
He was perplexed, and asked me what I was talking about.

I said every computer has a DNS name and what name did the Microsoft server report the errors from.
He said thank you and hung up on me.

It's a scam....and the people running it are stupid.

I have been receiving calls from this number usually if I do not recognize the number I do not answer. I did today a woman from the middle east accent called and said I was chosen to receive a $7500 dollar grant for the government and I said for what, she said for paying your taxes and other stuff on time. LOL. Then I said what do I have to do to receive this money she said I will tell you three ways, I said do I have to pay anything up front she said she will tell me and I will have the money within 30 minutes Yeah right. I could do it three ways western union, my bank account, or Visa card. I told her I wasn't interested.

This number keeps calling for an employee at my job. Makes very inappropriate comments about sucking [***] and what not.

I just got a call from this # and they said I had just qualified for a personal loan of $10,000... The connection was fuzzy and he sounded foreign.  He said i had applied today for the loan and that they would send me out a loan package if I give them my address... RED FLAG... I am assuming that at some point they would have asked for SS#, etc.  HANG ON ON THEM!!!

Just got a call from this number. Foreign accent. He knew my name and when I asked what company he was with, he replied Universal Help Desk and wanted to know if I had a computer running Microsoft. I smelled a rat and hung up.
