- shannonI got a call fromthis number this morning. when i checked my caller id, i called the number back and got a message that said "all circuits are busy." I havent posted any of my info on any job sites. I think this is a scam to get info. If someone calls from this number again...dont give them any information. When i did a reverse lookup on the number it said that it is a landline based number but no more information.
- Caller: voxbone/nyc2
- martishowed up as missed call on my cell
- Caller: did not indicate
- brianWow I'm glad I searched this number before calling back. Another missed call with cut off voicemail.
- Caller: unknown
- KBI received a call from this telephone number yesterday around 6pm est... I don't normally answer unfamiliar numbers and the caller didn't leave a voicemail. I called the number back and received a busy signal.
I have my resume posted all over the internet & have applied for several jobs through the popular job boards so I'm thinking there must be a connection between the two.- Caller: No Company Listed
- DylanSame story here, except that I spoke with a woman - I couldn't spend any time on the phone at that moment and she said to call the number "that came up on my caller ID" - 212-601-9695. Now when I call the number back I get a recorded message that says "All circuits are busy now" and then it hangs up on me. The job I applied to was through Career Network's site.
- SLJust got a call from them as well (9/10/08). I am looking for work but they said this was for a job I had applied for last June! When I asked which company I had applied to, they said they didn't have that info. I verified my name and address, phone, e-mail. He asked me why I felt I was qualifed for the job and I told him it was all on my resume. He said he did not have my resume and repeated the question. I told him I would need the name of the company to which I had applied or I would have to hang up.
I hung up. - NatGot a call like all these others, I stayed on hold and he said he'd need from 5- 45 minutes to verify my information--I was at work and could not so he gave me the number and said to call back....however I get the feeling it's a scam. I searched google for Employment Select which is the name he told me and it's not a company from New York...Beware just in case...too much identity theft going on these days
- Caller: New York
- JulesI got a call from this number a few minutes ago, and since it was a 212 number, I figured it was some branch of my NYC family, so I called back and it said all circuits were busy! I find it strange that they got my actual number, because I usually scam scammers by giving them a fake phone number and an e-mail I made specifically for giving out to websites. That means a "trusted" source sold me out and gave away my info. Who could it be?
- Julesok i figured it out...it's craigslist. i guess "employee select" posts ads in random parts of craigslist and waits until someone gives them their phone number. ha. [***].
- ElizabethI received a call from this number around 9:30 this morning. I was at work when the call came through so I just let it go to voicemail. They didn't leave one. I was looking for a job for the last 8 months but I have a job now so I don't know what this call was all about.

- YanI received a call this evening around 6pm from this number and I thought at first, "oh, this must be a friend from NY calling me during work." But to make sure, I whitepaged the number and I read everyone's comments. Same situation... no voicemail left.. I didn't bother calling them back b/c I wanted to research a bit further. I blocked the number and emailed my reference contacts to be careful. This is why I never trust Craigslist.. this is the 2nd time I got scammed from applying for a job on Craigslist. Be careful, everyone!
- YanP.S. - when I looked at the job description, the job was in Philadelphia, so why would a NY number call me when the job is suppose to be located in Philly?
- AmberGot call from this number at 9:35am EST thursday. Did not answer call and no message was left. Through reverse phone check found this number is from New York. I have also been applying for jobs (in Chicago, IL area) and my resume is posted on a few job sites.
- MaryI also just received a call from this number. I spoke to someone whose name she claimed was Rosie. I answered because I posted my resume on several job sites and several of the companies corporate offices is in New York. The young lady stated the position I had applied to, my work and education experience. I was only on the telephone for less than 5 minutes but it did seem odd to me that she was calling and not someone from a Human Resources office from the companies in which I applied. I will also block that number from my telephone. I guess great minds think alike because we all decided to check this so-called person from Employment Select.
- Caller: Employment Select
- tennclogger58Hi, I received a call on my cell phone and not recognizing the number, I didn't answer as I did not want to pay for a call whose number I did not know! The only message on my voice mail said representative and it cut off abuptly also. I also have my resume on several job sites so it has to be something to do with finding work. If anyone finds out who this is please share. Thanks and have a good day!
- MattThey called an I was busy. I too have my resume all over the place. But I only reply to jobs online on Mondays. They mentioned a job that I applied to on a Saturday. Smells like a scam.
- Caller: Employment Select
- scott in minnesotaIts a spam scam. They send out applications asking for cell carrier and email addrreses for refrences. What ligit company does that? I forwarded the email they sent me to internet fraud goups to track down the IP address of these clowns. I have resumes on monster, carerr builder, etc... I think it is absolute garbage these scum use resumes of people looking for employment to spam about online universities and credit solutions companies. These idiots are contracted by online universities and credit solution companies to find "likely" consumers. So next time if you come across an application asking for your cell company, if you are in debt, or email accounts of refrences, DO NOT DO IT.
- Caller: employment network
- JessieYes. Same thing. They just called at 9:10am on 9/12/08. It hung up after stating please hold for application representative. Most likely this is spam and I'm going to report it to BBB.
- JoanGot a call from this number yesterday, 9/11/08. Didn't answer it, and no message was left. The caller id showed "VOXBONE/ NYC2".
- SJPlease see comments for numbers: 806-576-0589, 323-429-7523, & 603-214-3647 As well, read my call comments for these numbers. As I believe they are being used together (somehow), to make fraudulent calls outside of the country (mostly), from cell phone carriers and then being billed to individual cell phone owners.
