I got this same call last week and was excited about someone calling back for my employment app w/employment agency. Tried to call back, and sure enough, it says, "All circuits are busy now". Tried again this morning, same thing. The rep. wanted to verify all my applicant information and it will take 45 mins. I told her, I won't be able to call back until tomorrow. So she said, well just call us back at the number I rec'd. After doing some further research, the company she mentioned I applied for, does not outsource their application to be verified by anyone/or any other company. Therefore, this is totally a fraud/telemarketing. Please do not release any personal information to these types of calls..It is definitely happening more so now. This can only lead to ID Theft, especially if the rep wants to verify your social security number, name, address and etc...For those of you who may want information regarding ID Theft, please send me an email at: legalprotection4u@verizon.net. Wow, everyone who thinks this is a scam is a moron. I actually did answer the phone and talk to someone, instead of just assuming it was a scam. All they do is verify information for the companies that you applied to. They are actually the first step to getting hired. They don't ask you for any information that they don't already have, and they certainly don't ask for any personal info like SSN or credit card numbers. Maybe if more of you would pick up the phone and talk to someone you wouldn't be sitting at home without a job. More and more companies are using companies like this to screen their applicants. With the amount of people that apply for jobs nowadays the HR dept of the companies don't have the time or resources to screen all potential applicants to see if they are qualified. All this company does is screen applicants for companies that are doing the hiring. Get a clue people.

If they are screening applicants they should leave a message so you know its not a scam!  Only serious callers tend to leave a message.  These types of calls are extremely annoying!

Got a call from 212-601-9154. No person there. Just some robot?
