- TitaI am pretty sure that you are all aware of that nobody has the right to get any information at all. First they need to identify themselves with name address and phone numbers, I just called the number and google it. Spoke to a Michael and he was telling me that he has some information from Monster.com when I send some applications, the entity to be blame is Monster.com too. They are now doing business with other entities so if you click any yes on their surveys you are screw. Honest the best way to get a job is the old fashio way NEWSPAPERS. I dont trust the internet anymore. Everybody is taking advantage of this
- ThunderI had just received a call from this number as well for a courier position I had applied for. They asked me my current level of education as well and when I stated I was already in a school and just looking for a job, the call pretty much ended shortly after.
They've got my address, both physical and email, and my number.
What really bothered me was that they called my girlfriend's cellphone and not my home phone. I put my girlfriend down as a reference, I know I didn't put her number to be called when wanting to be contacted.
So I can assume I'll be on the look out for more calls from the same company some time soon. - shasha2Yup, me, too. I got a call from this number, and they told me they were verifying information for a job I applied for at "Windy City Careers" which I had not heard of (nor did they have a website). I thought it might be for a "blind" ad application, so I cautiously went through the process, which took about 2 minutes. Is anyone really surprised that a scammer would try to take advantage of a job seeker?????? Don't be too vulnerable, people! If an employer was interested in you, they will call you directly. There is no need to "verify" information. I should have known better......Good luck to all in your job search!
- LisaI also applied for jobs on Craigslist...This is some crazy scam....
- jI received a call from a person claiming to be a representative of a "screening company" for a confidential employer. I had put my resume on USA Jobs and the closing date was yesterday. The only reason I answered was that the job closing date passed.
The person informed me who he was and asked if I had applied for an administrative assistant position. I made the mistake of saying yes and then he said that it would take 5 to 45 minutes to verify the information. I said that I do not have that much time since I am at work.
He informed me that I could call back at any time at the number on my phone. - spThey said they wanted to do a 5-45 minute interview but I wasn't sure if it was legit or not
- RichardIt's absolutely a telemarketing effort, verging on a scam. My wife applied to a few jobs on CareerBuilder.com and it would not accept her applications unless she clicked on "yes" to the question about whether she wanted information from Apollo College, the University of Phoenix and a couple of others. They have been hounding us with at least three calls per day for the past three weeks. We've asked them to take her name off their internal calling list, but that has done no good. Being on the "Do Not Call" list does not apply due to the fact that we now have a "business relationship" with them because of the careerbuilder.com contact.
- KitThat's right ~ you now have a "business relationship" with them....and ALL of their affilliates too. That's the reason for all this "brief" (5 mins.) to "in depth" (45 mins.) of verifying going on, it's worth a lot of $$$ to these people when they sell - uh oops - share...yeah share....your information with their "affilliates" <aka anyone who's willing to pay for it> and the more in depth (ie. what's your highest level of education? What courses would you consider in the future....) the information is the more money they get for sharing it with their business relationships - which, you are now one of.
Your phone will ring, and ring, and ring some more.
Maybe, just maybe, if the Feds or a State lay into them they'll submit a resume on someones behalf to Lockhead Martin.
There's big money in just your phone number folks. Especially for the phone company. - lizylitzI received a call this afternoon and this was the return number they gave me, listed below. The number that appeared on caller ID was from VOXBONE/NYC2 #212-601-9695. I was told that they were doing employment verification for a company called Invert Solutions. I did not remember applying to this company and my husband being in security has taught me to be cautious. I was not going to spend 25-45 minutes answering questions regarding personal information on a resume I don't remember sending, and after checking my sent items, I had not sent Invert Solutions anything. Checked VOXBONE, they are a provider of virtual phone numbers, they are untraceable. So heads up everyone, for those of us job hunting in this difficult economy we now have one more boogie man to look out for.
- Caller: VOXBOX/NYC2- InvertSolutions
- MiamiThank you all for youyr experiences. I have received today the phone call on my cell, and they told that I can call them at any time after my work. First, I checked the number, and found out so many messages with explanations that I do not like.
Once again, thank you for your information. - SummerSince you have to dial the prepaid card phone, your nmeubr doesn't appear on the caller id of the person you're calling. You will be safe . Also you can try *67 before you dial any nmeubr and your nmeubr will be blocked so no body will now the nmeubr you're calling from.

- TotaI understand your son’s pcrpseetive. Sometimes I just need my mom and I am a grown woman with ten kids of my own. Not all people feel this way, so treasure the blessing and make it happen. The other day I was at the shoe store looking for some comfortable flip-flops for my thirteen-year-old. I told the sales lady exactly what I wanted and all she heard was “for my thirteen-year-old.” This sales clerk came back with everything BUT comfortable shoes. She had rhinestone bling, platform bling, bronze sleek bling; she did not listen to me. She heard what she wanted to hear. We did not connect, so I left and went to a store where someone would listen to me. We may be spending time with our kids, but if we are not hearing them, they feel the time does not count. Quantity time is useless if the quality of it is lacking in understanding. Make an effort to hear your son, repeat back to him what you hear him saying, and show him that you are available to him in whatever way he needs you. Having children is a blessing and when they love you in return the blessing is multiplied many times over. Enjoy the challenge he has placed before you.
