This number showed on caller ID on 03/26/12 at 8:17 PM PST as Wireless Calling. I did not answer and I am glad I did not after reading all of the reports listed here. No message was left. It is time to report them to the FTC.

I double-checked the "whois" info because the entry quoted expired on Nov 07, 2009.  The most recent entry is the following:    Domain Name: INNOVATIVECONSULTANTS.COM, Created on: 07-Nov-01. Expires on: 07-Nov-12, Contact:: Morrissey, Anthony  @yahoo.com,,,47 Hipp Road, New Milford, CT 06776,   +1.2039488806.  However I found no proof that this call came from them.

    esta Q
As everyone knows, you don't answer a call you don't recognise, right?  I am SOOOO tempted to do as suggested below, and either play along, simply answering "yes" to every single question, regardless if it's a yes/no question, LOL, or, answering (non-verbally) and laying the phone down for 5 or 10 minutes.  Heck, go start a load of wash, or rake leaves! ha!

HOWEVER!  I have this stinky suspicion this could be a modern way to pull off an old fashioned crime: burglary/robbery.  Leave a radio or TV on while not at home, so at least if you aren't there, bad guy is less likely to enter if he thinks you might be.

Aw crap, as I write this, there is a FREE RADIO CONFERENCE TAKING PLACE ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE!!!!!  For the record, the call started out sounding like Prez Obama, inviting me to some Dinner Hour FREE town hall meeting, then the offer which I ignored, of course, turned into an ongoing (recorded) "LIVE" bogus buncha BS.  Man, I must be on a list somewhere, with the heading of "Gullible Idiots"!!!  If this wasn't so annoying it might actually be funny. (phone number for this latest insult, 360-633-9010, "TELE TOWN HALL"  ate up at least 5-6 min of my message space!!!!!)

    Angry Verizon Customer
FRAUD ALERT!!!    I received three SPAM call today from this number. I’m sure it is from the same scam outfit using software to fake the origin numbers (like phishing emails).

From what I've learned - they are running several scams. The basic scam is this: They pretend to be conducting a political survey, as political calls are not blocked by the do not call list. They ask two or three easy questions, and tell you that you won a gift – like a free ship cruise. Then they will ask for your credit card number to pay for taxes and fees. Or they will do some variation of the above scam, like offering to reduce your credit card interest rate.

They always come back to the credit card - be aware! And if you do go on the cruise, the actual costs will go higher and higher, and you will be forced to attend a timeshare session before the cruise – so you lose more time.

Don’t bother pressing (1) to be removed from their list – that doesn’t work, as the criminals will not remove you from their call list, and may even increase the frequency of their calls. The FTC is pretty useless if they can't track and trap these abusers of our phone system. Remember – the callers are NOT a legitimate business - they are criminals/scammers trying to get your credit card number so they can defraud you. Don't even answer the phone, don't call back, just block them.

I have added all of the scam phone numbers to my blocked phone list - so I will never be bothered again. If you cannot block calls - just add the number to your phone book, with "No Name" and set the ringer to silent. If they call again, you will not hear the ring.

Finally, here's a few more numbers they have supposedly called from.
Remember, Caller ID can be fooled!
I have personally received scam calls from these numbers:
