Got a call from this 2142831316 at about 5pm no message no hang-up just dead air.

FRAUD ALERT!!!    I received three SPAM call today from this number. I’m sure it is from the same scam outfit using software to fake the origin numbers (like phishing emails).

From what I've learned - they are running several scams. The basic scam is this: They pretend to be conducting a political survey, as political calls are not blocked by the do not call list. They ask two or three easy questions, and tell you that you won a gift – like a free ship cruise. Then they will ask for your credit card number to pay for taxes and fees. Or they will do some variation of the above scam, like offering to reduce your credit card interest rate.

They always come back to the credit card - be aware! And if you do go on the cruise, the actual costs will go higher and higher, and you will be forced to attend a timeshare session before the cruise – so you lose more time.

Don’t bother pressing (1) to be removed from their list – that doesn’t work, as the criminals will not remove you from their call list, and may even increase the frequency of their calls. The FTC is pretty useless if they can't track and trap these abusers of our phone system. Remember – the callers are NOT a legitimate business - they are criminals/scammers trying to get your credit card number so they can defraud you. Don't even answer the phone, don't call back, just block them.

I have added all of the scam phone numbers to my blocked phone list - so I will never be bothered again. If you cannot block calls - just add the number to your phone book, with "No Name" and set the ringer to silent. If they call again, you will not hear the ring.

Caller ID said "Marketing" and I let the answering maching pick up.  No message was left.

Do NOT know who is calling me from this number but I want it STOPPED NOW.

Called this afternoon-showed up "wireless callin"-phone only rang 3 times so I actually didn't get to it in time to answer.

I did not answer a call from someone I didnt know it came up Wireless Callin. They did not leave a message. I wonder why with so many individuals making notes of various caller who appear to be just spaming people with unwanted calls why the FCC does not use this information to shut them down and/or fine them. I know they will say that advertisers/marketing is protected by the freedom of speech but at what point to they become harrasment? On this phone number alone there are over 20 pages of complaints. Dont you think it is a problem?

Just got a call from this number, from the Dallas, Texas, area. I knew it was a junk caller and didn't pick up. Hope this slimy bast**d doen's try again ... or else will get a whistle blast in the ear.

Same hang up scenerio as everyone else from 214-283-1316.  My machine got it and they hung up before leavi9ng message.  this is Aug 6, 2012.  Sounds like they are checking the Red list.

They told me they were doing survey for Ramussan, the famous research group.  Bsed on what others here are saying, they lied.

I got a call from 214-283-1316 (wireless calling) today but I let my answering machine pick up and I listened to the automated message being left. When I heard there was an option to press 3 for to be placed on the do not call list I proceeded to pick up the phone and chose option 3 at which point the recording said that my number would be removed from their lists. Let"s see what happens now. I will monitor future calls from this number and repost additional results.

Do just hang up. Place the phone down and let it hang up. This slows down their robo calling.

Caller ID showed "Wireless Caller." I didn't recognize the number so I let it ring.....after 3 rings, they hung up.

Just received a call from this number...showed up as "Marketing".  Also received one last nite after 7:00  I didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message.  Sounds like this has been going on for a long time with earliest posts showing 2007.  FCC seems to be useless with regard to the Do Not Call list.

Just received a 'Message' from this number - cut off, but something about pressing numbers if you are over 18, suspect a X-Rated telemarketer of some kind, also, call came in just before 7 PM.

"wireless callin"  and no message.  5 years of complaints and they're still not shut down. How do we stop this?!

The call came in around 7:27pm on 12/19/2012. and showed up as MARKETING on my caller id. When the answering machine got it, they hung up. When I tried to call it back to be removed, it said the call could not be completed as dialed.
