The post which contains an "AARP customer service number directly 1-800-523-5880" is a total scam. That number connects you with a "Congratulations you have won a free trip to the Bahamas" and goes on and on from there.  Now they have my phone number so I'll probably be suffering thru unwanted call from them.  Just a warning !!!

You called the wrong number! Thats not AARP customer service number- Its 1-800-523-5800. If you get a call from this number its because either you requested info on the plans that AARP sells or you applied for converage. They cannot leave messages because of  privacy concerns. They do not 'cold' call anyone. They only contact you if you asked for the info first. I used to work there.

Have received 4 calls in last 5 hrs from this number. Always rings once or twice then nothing..same number, same hangup.. I am on national do not call list..I am reporting this .

The DO NOT CALL LIST HAD/HAS EXPIRATION DATES, by which time you must re-up - not widely known. After that date in time, you're at the mercy of shared and sold name lists again, even by those who were on your original list as well as newcomers. Check this out for veracity online. I just signed with AARP for supplemental Medicare insurance coverage two days ago and I received a "no one there call" from Catalyst 360 at 9am. The caller Id was AARP MEMBER ADV. Now who wouldn't pick up with that 2 days after signing up? A call back TO that number is a recorded message with their name. An online search reveals this is a company AARP uses to find out more about the person who signed up as best I could deduce..Watch out if your elderly medical issues are seriously significant. Sounds like - from one post I read, Cat. 360 will discourage AARP from taking you on.

You would think they would send something in the mail if I applied for aarp health insurance and have not answered the call 6 times a day! If they haven't contacted me over two weeks or more then why not send me something in the mail or knowing that they probably have your email address, why not email us! hummmm?

We have received calls at various times over the last six weeks. If it is United Health Care, we have the
insurance and see no reason why a message wouldn't be left if it is important. I resent calls when I am on the NO Call List.

ATT no longer carrying insurance for retirees. Had to sign up for supplemental plans which Att partially pays for depending in your choices. Aon is a group of insurance agents managing this. Chose AARP /United Health Care for suplimental/ medigap. This is one of AARP agents calling. Call was missed. No message left and am sure they will call back.

yes i got 4 calls today from them. I APPLIED YESTERDAY FOR MEDICARE C COVERAGE.  SO AWFUL. NOW I WILL HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THESE CALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWFUL !!!!!!!!

I don't answer unknown-caller calls, and this company is so freakin' annoying with their repetitive (to the point of harassing) calls.  I always let it go to voice, and apparently it has something to do with New York?  Annoying.

I called AARP and they told me they leave an 800 or 877 to call back. That's not the call back number that was left  on my answering machine. Probably a sales call from someone associated with AARP but NOT AARP
