crazy how I just received the same exact call; I have till 7pm today with a decision

My daughter got a call today and they left a voice message. I called them, they hung up on me, called back, hung up on again, called back asked to speak to a supervisor, a man came on the phone said he was a supervisor when I complained about being hung up on and how unprofessional that was from a business he started laughing and told me that apparently I didn't know that I was talking to the IRS. I then told him that I cannot imagine any IRS employee, especially a supervisor would be sitting there laughing about an employee hanging up one. I told him that I wanted to speak to his supervisor, which he continued to laugh and said he would take my daughters number off the calling list because they were calling for Leroy Swinton, whom he could not find in his computer for some reason. What a fraud.

They would not give you the company's name from which you borrowed money from and stated that they paid the company the loan amount that you borrowed and the company did not pay them back?  They would not state the name of their company and had to ask several times to verify my name; which I did not do because apparently if they had their information correct they would not have to have my name.  Had the wrong employer...

Just received a message from this number at work and they left a message that I would be taken to court for bank fraud.  Also, they said they would contact my employer if I did not call back before the end of this business day.  I called and a recording said no one was available to take my call.

Same thing... 213-337-0014 on the Caller ID, recorded message said it was for me (they used my correct name) and that it was regarding bank fraud and to call 216-285-9766 today or they would call my employer. Option to push "9" and resolve today - I didn't push anything and I'm not calling back. I don't have any unaccounted for debt so I'm not about to give it my attention. Besides, what is my employer going to do if I have an outstanding debt? I doubt they would care!

They called me left a mesage about check fraud.  I returned their call copany named IRS equity.  They claim to be a debt company.

This is a scam. A male voice recording called my cell & work in regards to bank or check fraud. They need to talk to me in regards to this. They were mandated to call my employer to verify employment. They would be sending paperwork for me to appear in court. Don't fall for this scam.

Called my job and told my job i was under a fraud investigation.

I got a call from a blocked number and had a recorded message exactly like everyone else. I'm not calling back. If they were a real company and I owed actual money they could find me to send me paperwork and my employer wouldn't be hard to find either. I'm not in hiding! What a SCAM.

Called me about some bank/check fraud when I have never gone to cash depot.... This is Fraud and I want them caught for this

This is a debt collector trying to scare you into paying money on very old creditcard debt or other loan. Most likely you are past the statute of limitations and therefore they can not legally enforce that debt or use the courts to force you to pay.  With this tactic, they are attempting to scare you into making a payment. IF YOU DO AGREE TO PAYMENT, THE DEBT CAN BE RESET AND THEY CAN LEGALLY START COLLECTING AGAIN! DO NOT AGREE TO PAYMENT. DO NOT SPEAK TO THEM. YOU ARE NOT REALLY BEING SUED. THEY WANT TO SCARE YOU INTO MAKING A PAYMENT ON A DEBT THEY CAN NOT LEGALLY ENFORCE.

I call the scammers back private as they call, and they will not answer private calls....good thing I don't either ;)

Just received a call from this number saying the same thing as the other posts. When calling back no one answered.

My mother called me to inform me that they called her looking for me with the same threats. This MUST be a scam or very very very old debt because I havent lived with her in 25 years.

Inform your relatives about this call. You can never be too careful.

It seems this is an actual working number, shouldn't it be reported? The call I got was looking for someone else, not me.

I received a call on my old work phone, but I know who has my old phone and he called me saying I had commited bank fraud and he tried to insist who he was talking to was me.  he did leave a number but the guy with my phone didn't write it down but did say it started with 216.  I live in a different area code so I don't know what to think?  Not sure but getting that call sucks even if I didn't do anything.

just recieved the same call from an unknown...they left voicemail and said i had committed bank fraud blah, blah, blah.....used my former last name from over 10 years ago......screams scam if it pops up when i google it!!

they called me yesterday and today i did not call them back i have not had a checking account since 2006 and also i filed bankruptcy in october this is a total scam
