- CHRISTIE BASSALOFF| 1 replyThis is a scam. Got a phone call from a male voice on a recording stating that I was involved in a matter of bank or check fraud. They needed to talk to me in regards to this. They were mandated to call my employer & verify employment. They would be sending paper work for me to appear in court. Don't fall for it.

- brendaI had a messg left on my phone at work threatening with check fraud and court action if not called back that day. i then got a call on my cell today stating the same thing. I called when I got home and they said if you didnt want recorded to hang up. I did and called back and a messg came on saying no one was available and it disconnected me. I dont have any payday loans and certainly no bounced check ones. this is a fraud!
- Call type: Debt collector
- franThis number called me as well. When I called back a lady with a strong accent told me I took out a payday loan in 2007. I told her it was impossible because I was just graduating HS, and didn't have a job to use a payday loan. She said, "oh.." I suggest not answering this message cuz I'm sure it's fake. I've tried calling back several times and I get no response.
- CDD replies to CHRISTIE BASSALOFFJust received the same message tried calling back and they kept putting me on hold and then I was disconnected have no idea what this is about I dont' have any bad checks......
- Paul| 1 replyThis is crazy. What can be done. They keep calling me for a debt I have no clue of and will not give out any information when pressed. They then proceeded to call several people in my office demanding to let my employer know that I committed bank or check fraud. I had to explain to several coworkers that this was a scam.
- AnaCalled this morning--caller saying they would call employer--not name given!!
- Julia A| 1 replyThese people have called my mom two times. I have called them back both times and asked them to remove my name and numbers from all contact. I told them I filed bankruptcy and to stop calling. I used some choice words and the lady on the other end of the phone got mad at me and yelled at me like it was my fault and told me she was putting the bankruptcy code on it and hung up.

- Tami Perkins replies to sassySassy, they are a company based in the middle east somewhere. Do not give them any money, they are nothing but a scam, they tried this last year to me and I involved an atty to investigate them. I was told by my atty NOT to give them any money because they were a major scam, she said that a lot of these places will have sattle light offices throughout the United states and their main office would be in the middle east somewhere because the US law enforcement cannot touch them over there. Somehow they have gotten information from payday loans and other places that people may have inquired about, not necessarily applied for a loan either, just inquiring about them. Next time they call, tell them you have already reported them and their number to the FBI, your states atty generals office and your local law enforcement, tell them your lines are now being traced to see where this call originates from and appropriate action will be taken. I guarantee you they will hang up immediately!!!!! They call me too and harass me all of the time, but I always turn it around on them, and when I threaten them with the FBI, States Atty Generals office and local law enforcement, they will run for the hills.
- tAMI replies to Julia AJulia, These people are not legit!!! Do not give them any info regarding yourself or your financial situation. You do not owe them a dime. I had them investigated by my atty and they are a major fraud ring. They have gotten your information by hacking into payday loans accounts or interested clients. This is how they received all of your info, next time they call, just politely tell them that you have turned this number over to the States Atty Generals office and the FBI and they are currently tapping your phones to see where the call originates from so they can contact local law enforcement to apprehend them for fraud on innocent people. I guarantee you they will run and lose your number real fast. Don't let them stress you out, besides, this is illegal anyway. If you truly owe a debt, they notify you via certified mail, you have 30 days to respond to this. They cannot call you up and threaten to take you to court or have you served with a subpoena, and if they call your employer, then file a law suit against them for harassment and deformation of character!!!!! turn the tables on them
- Tami replies to PaulPaul,
You need to contact your local law enforcement and let them handle this. If they are calling people in your office giving out personal information like that they have broken the law, this s illegal!!!!!! Sue them for harassment, next time they call you tell them you have turned this number over to the proper authorities in the FBI and Atty Generals office. Tell them they have harassed you and reported false information to your coworkers which is illegal itself!!!! Let them know you are not being nice about this anymore and you will do whatever needs to be done to see to it they are shut down or put behind bars. They will never call you again - ANONYMOUSJust got a message from 216-285-9766 stating that there is an allegation of check or bank fraud against me and that a court appearance is needed. This is a recording with no name or company name. These people (foreigners) have been harrassing me for years. I don't even know how they got all my personal information.

- KathyThey also called me and said that I would be getting a subpoena for court and it would be delivered to my work. Indicated that they need to mail me a bill as there are so many scammers out there. I think that if I was fraudulent with my bank, wouldn't my bank be having an issue with me? My bank has no issues with me.

- sickofthis!I got this call today with a recorded message stating that I need to contact them for a check fraud case. They told me to call 216.285.9766. I called this number and it rang and rang. Do not pay these people. They call every six months threatening "legal actions" and claiming to be attorneys. This is a scarm. If you've ever applied for a payday loan online or had a payday loan, this company is purchasing some of your information and then using it against you. Whenever you fill out one of those online applications, your information is farmed out to several "lenders". Some are actual financial services companies. Some are places like this. When you apply online, your information is also automatically re-submitted every six months. So, every six months, companies like this have access to bits and pieces of your information. When they call, they often know a portion of your social security number and your personal information so the call actually sounds legit. BE CAREFUL
- Caller: DIDN'T give name
