I spoke with these folks today after 53 calls in a 5 day span. they claimed to be answering an inquiry I made online about education. The parent company is Career Education Corporation located in Hoffman Estates IL. They operate a number of schools. I asked to be taken off of all call lists operated by this call center including all of the schools this parent corp operates. I spent over an hour on the phone with these folks to get the information needed to file against them in small claims. I have also filed a complaint with FCC. This is the third time I have asked to be taken off the call list. Since they use an auto dial-er the designation "Private caller" violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They also refused numerous request for an address which violates the Act as well.

This company has called me 30 times in the last week alone!! They have called me two times today!! Really? On a Sunday? They say they are from some online university in Colorado. I have asked them several times to not call me. I did not sign up for or ask for their service!!! They continue to call...

They won't stop!! They are honestly worse than any bill collector I have ever met!!!!

Calls once or twice a day and no message any help

I want to give you guys a tip:
I worked as an interviewer for a telemarketing company for a couple of months and learned a few things about telemarketers and telemarketing companies. The most useful thing I've learned was this:
If you DON'T answer, they WILL call you back. There's nobody there to think "oh, I've called this number 17 times and they haven't answered each time, maybe I should stop calling them." If you don't answer, it never goes into the system that you've been called, and therefore you get called back until they've reached their quota and don't need to call you anymore.
If you simply (and very nicely) tell them you aren't interested and don't want them to call back, more than likely they wont call you back. And for the love of god just keep in mind, there isn't a single telemarketer who enjoys their job and wants to bother you. So if you're really nice about it, they wont call you back.
So my suggestion to you is either, A. don't answer and expect them to call for about a few weeks to a month or B. answer and very nicely ask them to stop calling (you may have to do this twice, depending on the employee calling you. It could be a different person calling you every time).

I would have gotten fired if I had given the address of the company I was calling from. Like a lot of people who work in telemarketing, I was just a student looking to save money for college and gas. In my city, there are barely any jobs available at all and working where I did was pretty much the only thing I could find where I could start work immediately. Being an employee there was the worst thing I have ever done in my life. It caused me a lot of stress and it made me feel horrible knowing that I caused a lot of people stress.
Also working there, I was unaware of any of the phone laws including the Do Not Call List, all of which probably should have been included in my training but wasn't. As an employee there, I expected that the company handled all of that and honored all of the laws that came with calling random people.
Eventually, I realized that the company I worked for was not abiding these laws. They required that we explain the "Do Not Call List" through a loophole that allowed us to call legally (which I looked up and found nothing on). I eventually quit, deciding that even though I was making more than minimum wage, the money was not worth the damage to my health because of all the stress it caused me.
The point I am trying to make is this: It's not the employee's fault. It's the company and the entire computer system. As far as the employees are concerned, they are ignorant when it comes to the laws because they were not included in their training. They are forced to call you whether or not the computer has called you 53 times or not. The computer doesn't tell me "We've called this person 26 times in the past 2 days and out of those 26 times, they have answered 3 times and all 3 times they have asked to be put on the Do Not Call List or have asked not to call back."
I'm glad you're taking it out on the company, and I really hope you didn't take it out on the person who called you.

Let's think this through. Phone rings. I pick it up. There is a pause. The computer has dial your home phone, and when we pick up the receiver, there is a slight pause. What is happening? A real person on their end is signaled from their computer that she or he should then try to sell their product. Okay, when you hear that pause hang up. After 30 days of this, call and report them to the authorities, or just answer the phone and tell the real person to stop calling and remove you from their list.

Call me every day all day. I am sick and recuperating from Pnuemonia and sure wish they would stop. I suppose I could turn my phone off or to vibrate but I shouldn't have to! I appreciate finding all of your comments...I am calling my cell phone company and seeing what I can do to possibly block the numbers.

I had been looking into going back to school, CO Tech U is one I had talked to.  I have been receiving these calls on my home and cell phone.  I was not able to go to their school, they kept asking me to talk to other people and finally one time when they transferred me, I hung up (to their music).

But, when you look-up the number it is listed as a cell phone in Schamberg (not sure of the spelling) Illinois.

These people call every couple hours. Sometimes leave message [foreign accent!] saying they are from Colorado Tech Institute...so much for the 'no call' listing for my cell! This are unsolicited calls.

Yes I just noticed it is an Illinois phone number...interesting turn of events.

The call me everyday... lots of times so annoying

OK this is what I have tried to get this number to STOP CALLING ME - I have sent an email to complaints@hlcommission.org which is the "Higher Learning Commission" which has accredited Colorado Technical University.  I am on the do not call list and am beyond fed up with these senseless calls.  I work in the legal field and will bring the house down on these people if they do not leave me alone!!!!  FED UP!!!!  Hoping this resolves these phone calls!  We will see.

If you have an android phone there is this app that will automatically block SPAM callers or just about any call that you want blocked.  I signed up for some info for a certain subject and 3 different schools IMMEDIATELY started blowing up my phone, so I downloaded this app and their calls will come up on my phone but it is blocked immediately and it saves the number so it will tell you how many times that one number has called your phone and how long ago the last call was...
