got a call at 7:29pm ( 4 minutes ago) didn't answer. I am on the east coast of Canada. Strange! Glad I  couldn't get to my cell phone on time.

Vancouver here 10 mins ago.  It seems like the number goes to diff areas and right now it's hitting Western Canada.   [***]

At 3:37 pm received a call on my cell while I'm at work. There was no message and would like for the cell companys and telephone company's to come out with better service. As the recording services should be classified as harrasment.

Calls my cell phone repeatedly. Message is in Spanish. I pushed #1 and got a real person who spoke only Spanish, told me to hold and hung up on me.

At4:00 pm I have tried to call back the 231-995-8899 and a voice message comes on say the nnumber you call has been disconnected or is no longer not in service... This is for sure a scam and something needs to be done about this bull as I' really getting sick of unknown callers...

Appears this number has made its way to Newfoundland!  Obvious scam.  If you press 2, it will accept charges to your phone.

I'd say I get a call from 1-231-995-8899 about once a week. I'm on a pay as you go plan and so do not answer any phone calls from numbers I do not recognize.

Left message in Spanish; Supposedly I won $500 dollars and asks to push #1 to receive money.

I got a feeling these guys got an autodialer and are calling every area code in North America. Call Display has worked well for me because I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. "Private Number", "Blocked Number", Unknown Number, I ignore all on reflex.

Whoever said they are doing reverse charging is right. Don't get fooled by these "prizes" because it's very rare people give things away for free.
