One more Austinite. They've been calling for several days now on both our cell phones. Would love to get them to stop. No Habla Espanol.

It is a little too freaky this is calling all of us on June 26th.

I was in houston, tx 77058.  Got this call at 1:45pm friday june 27, 2008.
And no leave message.  I believe they call me every few month.

What kind of phone service does every one have?  Is this on their cells?  Is this on their MetroPCS cells?

just got this same # did not pick it up 1-231-995-8899

Called and didn't leave a message.  called back and number says disconnected

Just called my cell phone 2 minutes ago. I did not recognize the number so I did not answer. I'm so glad I didn't!

just got a call from them on my celly... spanish speaking so I pressed 1 then zero a bunch of times... got a spanish speaking lady... I said no habla espanol and she hung up on me.

I received this phone number on my cell phone, but missed the call-no message given.  I looked up this number to see who it was and I have received similar numbers in the past (spanish-speaking scammers).  I want to thank the commenter, "A", who put her words on June 26, 2008 and her boyfriend's work on finding out on the call.  It helps us all :-).  I just wish those idiots would stop wasting their time calling us!

sounds like a scam to me. call came in on my cell 6/27/08 at 3:02 pmt.  it's in spanish and it said something about to claim your prize dial 2. my husband mentioned receiving a similar call yesterday.  We're about 45 minutes north of chicago near the wisconsin border.

Just got a call from this # a few minutes ago, I am in Rockford IL. No Msg was left. CID says it was from MI.

I also received a call from this number. I didn't pick it up because it wasn't from around here. From Chicago ahhh scary

They also left me a message last time... I take spanish but im totally rusty at it so i couldn't understand it.

i recv'd a call from a different like this on lsat friday..i did not answer. THIS IS CRAZY.

I got a call and my cells from Chicago.  Didn't answer the phone in time, and no one left a message.  Tried calling the number back and the number's disconnected.

Received a call from 231-995-8899 at approx. 3:15pm and don't know whose number is this. WARNING to everyone receiving a call from this number, pls don't answer.

Well I just got a call from this number too. I looked it up and apparently the number is from Grand Traverse County in Mi. Im not in Austin. Im actually in Seguin, which is about a 70 minutes from Austin.

just received the phone call on my cell from 231-995-8899, said unknown name, no message was left... i'm in central texas as well but north of austin

I just got this call too around 1:30pm and it said it was disconnected when I called back. Fishy lol

I have it. It is Spanish, but what is he saying? He gives no number options. Some who speaks Spanish should be able to translate it.
