I've just had same message, are we any closer to finding out who the scammers are ?

Text message arrived at 10.58am on 1/11/2008 from +447765779974 stating "URGENT!! Large Parcel Awaiting Delivery Please Call NOW on +23222270682 for delivery tomorrow International Parcel Deliveries.
Not expecting anything so very suspicious.

sent me a message on 1/11/08 from 447765779639 to call 23222270682 for a package delivery

I suspect that the majority of the users here are from T-Mobile.  Definitely a scam.

same thing . who do they think they are? but there will always be the unfortunate ones that ring the number.....

Got the same message from 07876247085. It funny how a lot of people on the various threads have said they were expecting a parcel - I had a large delivery on Friday and gave my mobile for the couriers to contact - they did and I got my parcel, if I had booked it for just a couple of days later I might have rang the number (although the fact that it was an international one would have made me think twice!) I wonder if some dodgy parcel / courier service employee is selling details to these scammers?

Mine was a text - not a call. But found it VERY strange the any delivery service were happy to deliver on a Sunday - made me think, and I didn't call the number back - I am T - Mobile too!!  But not expecting any parcels!!

It's an international premium rate number so you pay through the nose to call it.

Text came from a vodafone number, 07876 247085, in my case. I hope they enjoy the offensive abuse I left ontheir voicemail :o)

Received a text today "Please call now on +23222270682 for delivery tomorrow" International parcel deliveries. Have just returned from holiday in Australia, was not expecting a parcel and was very suspect of the message because of the +23 code.

follow on to my previous message - I have sent an international parcel to NZ and have been tracking the parcel every day - so I assumed there was a problem - I put my mobile number on the parcelforce form at the post office.  I got a busy tone when I called it - and have just emailed my provider to check the status!!

I had txt come in on 01/11 at 14:15 I never noticed  till much later as I was in a noisy place at the time.
Just came on to Google the number thought oit would be a scam as I wasn't expecting anything.

I received a  text asking me to call a number to arrange collection of an international parcel

Thank god our international parcel arrived before I recieved TEXT!!!
It would have been obviouse to ring the number as our son had just rung to say has mums parcel arrived from me in New Zealand.

I got the same Urgent large parcel message on 1/11 and I am expecting a parcel from the US. I realise now I shouldn't have called the number, but did and heard a recorded message that was extremly poor quality a lot like a 30 year old cassette tape would sound. It gave out two numbers, a consignment number and a delivery number. Designed to keep you on the call for a long time. I'm angry that I've been mugged with this prank, is it possible that the culprit has access to international parcel records? It would be interesting to know if the people not expecting a parcel have ever put a mobile mobile number on a parcel delivery system, and which one. I want justice, but how?

I got a text from International parcel deliveries on 1/11, which said: 'Urgent Large parcel awaiting delivery call now on +23222270682'. The funny thing is that I am waiting for a parcel which should have arrived around the 1st and in reference to the above poster I usually use my mobile number when filling in forms to stop people getting my landline number.
