I have also had a text from them last night/this morning at 04.51am.. Grr... How do they get our numbers?! The only places I order parcels etc from are online clothes shops!

Got a text from +4477658799 on 8th November 2008 at 23:53hrs. Same thing, parcel delivery from International Parcel Delivery, but call +23222270680 this time. As far as I can make out +232 is the international code for Sierra Leone

Received the following text on Sunday evening 9/11/08:

As I wasn't expecting anything and the text arrived on a Sunday I became suspicious. A Google search found something similar that started 2 years ago, and further searches take this kind of scam back to 2001.

I reported this to the police, but I doubt whether there is much they can do about something originating from Sierra Leone.

I received a text message from +447774505331 at 11.03pm on 15th November 2008 saying
"URGENT) Large Parcel Awaiting Delivery Please Call now on
+23222270682 for delivery tomorrow, International Parcel Deliveries.

I thought this would probably be a scam as I was not expecting anything to be delivered.

Today, 20th November 2008, out of curiosity tried ringing the numbers from a landline but both numbers are unobtainable.  Wonder if I would get through if I tried on my mobile?  BUT IM NOT GOING TO DON'T WANT THEM TAKING MONEY OFF ME!!

Yeah, same here today called twice.about large parcel. Obvious scam. Oughta be prosecuted though...knobs!

I received the text asking to call this number on the 22nd November and luckily found this web site confirming my suspicions. Con merchants...

I  got the same message, but from a different UK mobile number

received same from +447833997490 +447876247923 and +447900043389

At 2.30am ! - got this txt,
"URGENT!! Large Parcel Awaiting Delivery Please Call NOW on +23222270682 For Delivery Tomorrow International Parcel Deliveries"
- fortunately I was awake, and checked it out here, and I'm also expecting a delivery.

Sorry but should also have mentioned that the 2 nos sending sms were with +44 so does that mean from a roaming UK mobile, which figures.

I have now had two texts on a saturday from +447990648998 asking me to call +23222270682 for an urgent international parcel delivery.  I used to be on T-mobile, so assume it is a scam aimed at their customers.

all the numbers used are international premium rate (revenue share) numbers.  The regulators (UK/Austrian) know or could easily find out who is behind this fraud.
