- DeeDeeJust got a call from 233-333-3333; no one replied when I said hello so I called the number back to see who it was and I got a recording "welcome to Verizon; the number you have reached has been disconnected or is no longer in service". I got this recording within 15 seconds of receiving the phone call; how can this be?
- ECDEVCalled my cell phone (a number that I give out to very few) and I ignored the call because the number looked suspicious. Did not leave a message.
- ToddI just got the call, but he was trying to talk like an "Aussie". I just told him to forget my number and not call back, then hung up in his face. He tried to call back but he got the "REJECT" button instead. There are a lot of evil people in this world!!

- KyleJust received a call from this number. I do not have unlimited minutes so I didn't answer. No message was left. It appears to be some sort of government grant scam after a quick Google search.
- mehe said he was from the us government grants department, and then told me to hold on they were going into a meeting he would call me back. REALLY
- honey b delpitThis Guy with a heavy accent called my phone and said the same script about the $9000 government grant. I humored him and asked what name he had.... he stuttered and then said that the only info that his department had access to was my number. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he proceeded to press number keys in my ear and then tried toact like someone different. So I then asked him what state he was in. He gave me some bogus address with no city and state. Then I said okay what state are you in? He then paused and said the united states of America. Lmao! I said what state, not country. He didn't know what to say... I laughed, said no thanks, and hung up. Pathetic!

- FedUP replies to chrisYou know it seems like there are tons of these kind of of idiots trying to pull crap on people...what's bad is that once in a while, they actually do get some one, perhaps and older individual whom they take advantage of. This has to stop! Because there is NO way to stop this kind of crap from going on, we must all join together and INSIST our phone and personal information is NO longer FOR SALE...
Now apparently once in a while this information has to be made available to certain people of authority, just NOT to anyone. Apparently we are all victims of "INTERNET MARKETERS" and also "ADVERTISING" and Other BullSh*T we are all inundated with online and during everyday activities. We must INSIST and FIND AWAY to Make it ILLEGAL to "SALE" people's private personal information, INCLUDING phone number which are listed on the DO NOT CALL LIST. Which is apparently completely worthless, and it too is subject to "being sold" I think it is WAY past time we stop ALL SALES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION unless it is for "legal and Authorized use' ONLY.
That is the ONLY way we will be able to stop this kind of BS. We must insist LAWS be passed to Protect the Individual and also put these "DATA" banks that sale personal information out of business, so they can only be used by "Authorized People" and cannot be sold to just anyone! Period! It's time to put our foot down. On the alternative, I suggest everyone start calling these damn idiots back and when they answer blast them with the loudest, most foul music you can find---and do it REPEATEDLY and even in the middle of the night. They'll learn. - BamaPhoneChick replies to chrisWow, I done git a call from some dude in anotrh place.
