Report a phone call from 234567890 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- ExasperatedThey called yesterday for the first time. We blew a loud noise in their ear and hung up. This am now we must be on their "harassment call list". They have called three times within the hour. This third call they added a 1-in front of the usual 234-567890. Amazing this can't be traced. We tried selective call blocking on our phone and it won't take the number as it is an "invalid phone number". Any creative techies out there who have figured these "phone hackers" out?

- ChelseaWOW I hate whoever this is! Not so happy that they called twice at 7:30 after I slept for 3 hours. As if telemarketers aren't bad enough, now they're calling from other countries too??? >:p

- Lone Star StateReceived several of the heavy accent calls from "Microsoft." Most came around 10-11 p.m. at night. I confronted them, told them they were a scam operation and not to bother calling back. All was quiet for about three weeks, and today I received my first 234567890 call today at around 2 p.m. Central time. Sure wish there was a way to stop these people, because they are annoying.
- FedupGetting calls from Microsoft. Irritating since they called at 9.30pm. Anyway to block them

- Lyle ZuluetaI have been getting calls from 1234567890 and 234567890. No one answers when I pick up
- Darrell MI received a call from 234567890
They told me they were from Microsoft and had several error reports from my pc. They wanted access to my pc. I told them I was a software engineer and would not give them access. The woman said "oh my god" and hung up the phone. - AnnoyedI live in Vancouver, BC Canada and I just rec'd a call on my cell phone from this number. I did not answer it (and never will). The display shows as Salem, OH. Since I don't know anyone there it is definately a scam.
Everyone be careful. - KimI'm in uk n keep getting calls off this number anyone know who it is?
- TaraFuming with these people. They called me last night I hung up. They then rang back again and told me I had a nice voice. Then then called again 10 minutes later and told me to **** off. I told them I will call the police if they call again and they haven't but this needs to be reported.
- A non mouseI'm certain this is a disguised number. My call began by telling me they were a representative of Microsoft and that my computer was alerting them that it was infected with Mal-ware. I'm guessing it was a fishing attempt.
- IrritatedMy wife and I each received calls on our cell phones today from this number. An Indian-accent voice explained that they have received a lot of error messages from our PCs and they were concerned our computers were infected with malware. Lots of background noise as though they were calling from a phone solicitation company. I asked what he was selling, and he said he wasn't a telemarketing company and then hung up. They've called my phone every hour on the hour.
- concerned citizenLike many here, started getting these calls (several per day now) about two weeks ago from 234-567-890.
Usually, I ignore calls from numbers I don't recognize, but since they wouldn't stop calling, I finally took a couple of them. The person on the other end has a heavily accented voice and claims that 'my computer is infected with a virus' as a reason for the call, etc.
Asking them to stop calling me hasn't worked yet, but maybe I should try the loud whistle like others have suggested.
If I could catch these scam artists, they would be shot, tortured, hung from a flagpole, and then converted into biofuel. - AlexandriaI got a call this afternoon (Salem, Ohio) and I answered. A cheery American woman (mid-western sounding accent) informed me that I visited a Disney-affiliated Rogers (my wireless/cable provider) website and had entered to win a trip... lo and behold, I WON!!! I just got back from vacation yesterday - and being at Disney World sounds like hell considering I'm childless, late twenties and kinda freaked out by the plushie characters. Anyway, the worst part was that this woman had a great deal of my personal info - name, address, phone number (obviously), birthdate, and all she needed to confirm my luxury car for the trip was my driver's licence and bank account info. I kept telling her I don't want a trip, and she kept repeating super excitingly that she already had all my personal info so I MUST have signed up for it. I hung up without giving her any info at all (though I will say all the info she had was startlingly accurate). She hasn't called back. What can be done about this????

- PaulaIt's slightly comforting to know that other people are harassed by someone or ones at this number. At least they are not just targeting me? At first, there were calls a couple of times a week, but they are increasing in frequency. I have had seven calls since yesterday morning. The calls are beyond just being a nuisance. I wondered if they were connected to some Indian boiler room operation, like some I've gotten in the past. You know, those out-of-area calls wanting to sell you super-duper vitamins or any illegal medication you want.
- Deb Fortier ArszylaI just got another call from 23 456 7890. I got one a couple of days ago, too. It most certainly is NOT a telemarketer or a bill collector. Otherwise, why not say anything when I answer; or why not leave a message when I don't? Very annoying!
- LindaI got two calls from this number a couple of days ago......both late in the evening.....9:30 and 10:30. I usually don't answer these weird numbers but I was curious/angry, so I answered. No one responded and eventually the line went dead. And, of course, you can't call it back, even though I tried. This number called again yesterday during the day. I answered it and immediately asked who it was. Again, no answer, then the line went dead. Today at around noon this number called again and THIS time someone began talking in a very heavy accent...maybe mid eastern. It was very noisy in the background as this man began reading his prepared statement. He claimed that he was US technical support from Microsoft. I interrupted him and said that I was not having any problems with my computer. He then started his statement over again. I interrupted him again and asked him how he knew anything about my computer. He started his statement over again and by now I began to enjoy myself. I kept interrupting and questioning. Then I told him to give me his name and number and I would contact Microsoft myself. He then hung up. I guess if they call back I will just not answer. These are SCAMMERS. Do not give them any information.
- themombearThese people are obviously working off a script an don't speak English. I play along (when I have nothing better to do) and waste their time.
I have had previous warnings from the IT dept. at work regarding this. I feel sorry for anyone that falls for it. - GeorgeCThis guy called me and sounded Indian. he said he was with Microsoft and wanted to clean my pc that was infected with a virus. I told him not to call again!!! he called again 30min. later. told him to stop calling me. I hope I don't get billed for something I didn't want!!

- Huntress| 1 replyThese folks are calling nonstop at least a dozen times a day. I picke up and just don't answer. Tonight I answered and told them I didn't who they were but they were breaking all kinds of laws calling after 8 pm. Especially considering they called last night at 11pm. They hang up in me when I started talking laws. Next time I may answer and tell my 4 yr old its Santa and to tell him all the things he wants for Christmas.
