My. Mother received a call from an odd number today. My mother is very elderly. She informed me she received a call while away and the number was 23-456-7809.

Got a call from this number at 9:30 AM EDT today (26-Jun-2013).  I was immediately suspicious. I received the same old, "we are from the Windows Tech Department" spiel that others are reporting from a South-Asian-sounding guy (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi?) .  I told him that he was full of crap. He promptly hung up.  

Obviously a phishing scam!

I have received 6 calls from this number and a total of 15 calls from the same person but using different numbers since May 28, 2013.  The caller sounds like the same description as others have left.  Unlike the "microsoft..." this man is sexually harassing me as if i was a call girl.  I once asked him where he got my number and he replied facebook, which is a lie as my number is not on the internet.  This person is calling from Eastern European Time.

I have called my local police three times asking them what my options are and they cannot help me unless he threatens me or I change my number and if he still calls then they will look into how he found my information.  Now I understand why young girls feel helpless when they are bullied by sexual predators and resort to suicide - the authorities will not help them and no one is willing to investigate or prosecute.

Just received another call while typing this! So far 3 calls within 13 mins.

I have not had any additional charges by picking up, just frustration because he will not leave me alone and difficult to block as he uses different numbers.

Oh, and the scariest thing about this caller is that he knows my name.  My voicemail does not say my name, just my number.

This person is saying that they are calling from "windows" because there is a problem with my computer and it is carrying a virus.  I asked to speak to an American because both parties I spoke with had heavy Indian accents.  They could not give me an American to speak with. I am sure this is a scam!

This is definitely a scam - they are trying to get your IP address of your computer - do not speak with them at all - put down the phone!

Phone SCAM. 23-456-7809 Unknown Name. Said got my phone number from a survey call about my computer.  I did not place any call.  I did not give any of my persl. information to them.

didn't answer the out of area 234567890 call.  it came at 10:50 pm eastern time.  no message was left.
this isn't the first time they have called.

It is almost 11:30pm and I was asleep but was woken up by someone calling from this number.   23-456-7890.  I did not get to the phone in time to answer and then wondered if the number could have been some alert call from the police department, like they do when someone is missing.  Calls are not allowed after  9pm so I was certain it was not someone trying to sell me stuff or trying to collect from someone who lived here over 10 years ago.  The number I'm guessing is through a computer and from what I've read is not even from someone in the US.  Hope they don't try to make a habit of calling like this.

I have received calls 3 time today.  They state that they are Technical Support for my Microsoft Windows PC.  When I ask what company they are working for, they say they are offering technical support.  One of the calls tried to get me to access a web page from my computer.  I didn't wait to get the URL.  I told them I am on the Do Not Call List and ask that they stop calling.  Like that is going to happen :(

the caller claim to be with Microsoft stating they are receiving error messages from your computer.  it could be hackers posing as Microsoft personnel trying to obtain additional information to commit ID theft/fraud etc.  be very careful to close out and shut down computer completely when not in use as this could be the gateway to access a great deal of personal information.

I agree, they are phishing.  I told the guy that I didn't request any tech support and he said they were getting error messages from my computer.  I told him to lose my number and don't call me back.

So I change my cell to the S4 and it has a built-in number blocking system.  The best part is the number does not have to be a traditional phone number!  Its been 3 weeks since I first posted and 2 weeks since I changed phone and no calls! I love my s4 and if you are thinking of getting a new phone to block these [***], get an s4!u

The number 234-567-890 has called me 10 times in 3 days!!!! They keep wanting to me about my Microsoft product. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?? I have asked them multiple times to STOP calling me and they just will NOT stop. This is freaking ridiculous!!!!

This man called me from this number claiming that my computer was sending to many system error messages to Microsoft!!!!!!! Bull**** is what came to my mind.So i asked where was he located 'Microsoft branch wise. He claimed Brooklyn new York. Which was funny MICROSOFT DOESN'T CALL YOU LIKE THIS HAHA. Listen people stay away from these Scams they want to steal your money' identity'and what ever is valuable to them. Please continue reporting this number to your phone company or FCC. They are trying to get you. and don't hesitate to say I reported you they will think twice about calling you next time! Oh and just a reminder they like to make it sound really serious 'for you to just run to your credit card or give information!! without you having the time to really ask questions and think it through!!!!!!!

The guy said he was calling about my Windows computer  when I identified as Mac addict he hung up

Multiple calls from 234567890. Have not and will not answer. Wish it would stop!

Just don't answer the phone if you don't know the phone # on caller ID. I get these calls a lot lately I never answer the phone.

Got calls from this number (23-456-7890) constantly today.  Caller - sounded like India accent - said my computer was reporting problems. Told caller I had a security suite installed and had just done a swipe of computer and nothing was found.  Hung up
