I got a call from the same number just now. And subsequently, I got two more calls from and unknown number.

A lady called asking details about my quarantine time

This number called me and left a voicemail that stated she was from the Government of BC and it was urgent they get ahold of the parents of (my childs name). She said there was no need for me to call her back as she would call again this afternoon. Was short and curt in the voicemail. When I call the number back it is an automated message saying it is a Gov't of BC line but please refer to the "blue pages" for correct phone numbers. Odd.

The call me at 3:55, I call back , no one was there only say , if you are that push # 1 and take to agent if you are not push # 2 and I did not , till tomorrow I go to minstrel to see

This is the generic "switchboard" number for BC Government. The caller will often not leave a message because of privacy concerns.

Based on prior posts, this seems like a phishing scam using a spoofed number. The scammers are faking a BC government number.

They don't leave messages since if you call back, the government office you reach will have no idea why you were called.

They asked for my Father in Law, and when we asked who’s calling, they put us on hold and wait for someone. It then sounded like the line went dead (or switching), and as we were hanging up it sounded like someone was trying to come in the line.

They called back a second time, differs person asked again for FIL, and when we asked ‘who’s calling?’ They replied, “Sorry, we don’t have you as an authorized caller…”.

??!! WTF I just asked who’s calling. If you can’t identify yourself then it’s a scam.

A man called this morning stating he's from the "Government of Canada" and asked how isolation was going ?  Talked fast, said he'd call back, no need to return call.  Didn't sound right to me.  It's a scam to get personal info seems to me.

Missed call from this number abd when I phone back it was a phone recording stating call from provincial goverNment you f Bc , no message left… strange

Someone call form this previous contact  number and I didn't answer their called. The didn't left any message.  may  be a group of scammers

Then again it could be anything including a wrong number.

On attempt to return call received message “This number is from the Provincial government.  Please consult the Blue pages of government directory”

Who keeps calling and not answering?

I've gotten calls from this number twice. They never leave a voicemail. It also says from province of BC

Received a phone call from a social worker from Interior Health,Lexie, stating my family could be at risk.  Asked a lot of personal questions about member of family and children.  Now I am worried that perhaps I should not have answered questions.  This person knew all family members names and circumstances.  Has me worried.

That is all she said and not what they could be at risk from?  Why would you answer personal questions when you don't really know who you are talking to?
