They keep calling. I answered hoping to find out who it was. They asked for my husband which he wasn't home so I asked is there a message I can relay? the girl said "NOPE" and hung out before I can ask anything else.

We have a cease and desist order against this company (Allied Interstate) which means legally they are barred from calling our number.  They are SO bold, that they ignore the order.  It's OK though, because one day I am going to take these pieces of crap to court, and they will indeed be sorry.  They think they are above the law.

Funny thing is, the debt they are calling about is ALWAYS someone who we do not even know, as we are free and clear of all debts.  It must be someone who had this phone number before we did.  Or, they are SO bold, they will call everyone in your area's white pages with the same last name as your's, hoping they will get an idiot who will be willing to say, 'oh yea, that's my cousin, let me give you his phone number and address', or something stupid like that.  We just got tired of them calling EVERY day, several times a day, so I legally took action against them.  It cost me a few bucks to do it, but it is SO worth it.  I document EVERYTHING!  So, every time they call my home, it just gives me more evidence against them.  And, they dig a deeper hole, and each call will cost them more money in a court of law.  Can't wait!!!  They think they are above the law...well, one day soon it will be a pleasure to bankrupt the [***], or at the very least, put a real dent in their wallets! Ha, kick them right where it hurts!!!

This is my home, and they have no right to invade my privacy and harrass me (they are the RUDEST people ever!), even if it IS me, which it is not, that owes money that they are trying to collect. They have gone so far as to tell me I am 'a liar' (exact words), that I am not who I say I am, that I AM indeed the person who owes the money they are trying to collect.  Legally, once you tell them to cease and desist calling your number, they have to abide by your wishes.  

So, anyone in the state of New Mexico who would like to join me in a class action lawsuit against Allied Interstate, please respond to this post.

These people are unreal Can no one stop them They have called my daughter who has a different last name and lives in another state. Asking her for info about me. Now they are calling me about a debt that does not exist. Today I answered and it was like they were trying to narrow down who I was. By the questions they asked. I didn't answer and hung up. They are scaring me. They just keep calling

They called tonight and had an automated message about an outstanding debt.  I hung up since we don't have any.  I checked caller ID and saw the 253-218-3451 number.  Could not get through.  Will not accept any more calls from these losers.  Do they think eveyone will fall for the Ponzi scheme?

i do not answer these types of calls either and then check on the internet to find out what and who they are then I put it on call rejection so that it won't come through anymore

Someone acidently used my name in a credit reference, they were loonking for someone else. I called the consumer advocacy number on this site and was REALLY NICE! They took my number off.

The bozos also called me looking for someone who doesn't live here.  If you tell them they have the wrong number, they do not have to give you their address.  That is their loophole.  So it is better for you to lie and tell them they have the correct number, then get their mailing address, and send them a legal cease-desist letter.  If they ignore it, hit *57 to trace the number, then you can sue them for $1000 for each violation of the cease-desist letter (see a debt collection attorney...  it is the best time you will ever spend to get back at these lying crooks).

Can anyone post reference to an enforceable cease and desist letter, along with any other technicalities such as registered mail and so forth? These clowns have all of a sudden started calling my cell repeatedly over the last couple days, and I would rather go on the offensive rather than having to tolerate the annoyance.

Where the h@ll are the Feds on this??? It obviously has been going on for a heck of a long time. Didn't they group in the types of actions related to trying to falsely obtaining people's social security numbers in the Patriot Act somewhere? Where is "Homeland Security"?

Also, if someone else has already obtained proper current mailing address for these scumbuckets, let's get that posted too so no one will have to bother with them any more than necessary.

This is what is called a "spoofed" number, so if it calls, simply do not answer.  The people behind it are routing their calls through it, and this number does not actually exist.  Spoofed calls are often from people looking to scam, but they are also the new favorite trick of the more unscrupulous collection agencies, especially those used by, of all businesses, the phone companies.  (It is ironic that they use these people, as just the existence of spoofed calls gives the whole phone industry a stinky name.)  Since a real agency call will come in looking like a 1-800 number, they can run their usual number through a spoofed line, with its fake number, and make it appear to be from a normal land line or cell phone.  The best thing to do is to simply not respond to the call.  If you have call blocking, you can try this, but since the number does not really exist, it likely will not work.

I have been getting this call for months now i answer and they pay nothing and hang up. I tried to call back and it does not go through?

They just called the house and tried to tell me that I owed money on a debt.
When I asked then what debt, they asked me what my social security number was.  UMMMM... no way!  It is a total scam.

these people called my cell phone again and again. i wish my phone service had a block # ability.

I called this number back and after a slight hesistation, a man's voice spoke and asked for 'Jonathan'...'Jonathan Beck'. I replied that I am sorry but no one here by that name, and the man hung up.

These people call me EVERY DAY!  I never answer unidentified phone calls.  I called them back just for the heck of it, and guess what:  "The number you have dialed cannot be dialed at this time."

Who are they?

Allied International leaves message about debt. We don't have debt but we did just refinance the house. I'm guessing public record has the phone number somewhere on it. I tried to answer the call but it's pre-recorded. I've filed a complaint on FCC's do not call list. Everyone else needs to do the same EVERY TIME they call. It's not going to stop them overnight, but eventually it should.

i get these calls too, but i never answer. once i did, and it was dead air. today i got three calls from them, and have got 14 total missed calls from them. advice for anyone else?

next time they call, scream at the top of your lungs. got another number to stop calling my brothers phone!
