Keep calling this number and don't know who they are

I called back and it keeps hanging up on me.

so far they've called me 2x today, kinda pissing me off, i have a newborn and the constant calls from these [***] are going to wake him one of these days, if it were legit, they would leave some kind of message you would think, but i am a firm believer of if you don't recognize it, don't answer it, they can leave a message if its that important

I have been getting about 5 calls in the past 2 days. I never answered any of them since I do not anwer calls from different area codes that are not from my city. I was tempted to call back but decided I should google it first & thank god I did since I found this site, now I know it is just a scam.

Just barely called me, 1:57 pm MDT and called a couple of days ago but the recording is poor quality and I could hardly make out what they were saying.  I figured I'd better google the number to see what it was about.

They called this morning asking for a "Cletus Melich", I replied "who"? They repeated the name, I said "no at this number, never heard that name". She replied that she would mark the number incorrect and then told me the call was monitored. I called them back and got the pre-recorded message "D241 Test Successful".

I get a call from this number at least once a day and have several weeks now. They call at various times of the day and when I actually answer all I get is a recording.  The first many times I thought they were saying a death. My husband answered it and heard debt. Death or debt doesn't matter, if they can't leave a message or call without a recording I won't respond. I am sure that this is some kind of scam.  

The recording says something like " This is Allied Interstate. We are contacting you about a death (debt). Call us at............" I have hung up by the time they get that far.

I called number back and received message D2 test complete.   Does anyone know what that means

I also got a call from this number and said they were with alliance but refused to tell me any information unless they verified my address. I told them they need to explain what they were calling about they refused so I said that the conversation is pointless and hung up. If anybody has caller screening on their phone service I would suggest you add phone numbers like this to it. They will never call again. Caller Screening tells the caller from the number calling that their number in not being accepted. Some of these callers can be Debit collectors who violate the law to the extreme by threats and harrassment and espically false identification and other lies. Know your Rights throught the Fair Debit Collection Practice Act. Debit Collectors can be sued for lots of money violating this law. Some say they are acting in accordance with the law but most likely it's a lie.

I called the number back and it said test successful. I'm glad that I found this site.

This number keeps calling me and leaving messages, however, they apparently are talking before the answering system kicks in and I only get part of the phone number.  Have no clue who the heck they are.

All I get is:  258-8074 - not sure what area code.

KeeP calling about debt collection. Then say B241 confirmed

This is ridiculous........all these complaints since 2007!!  Has anyone reported this to the Attorney General's office of the State of Washington?  I'm going to file a complaint and reference this site.

This bad actor has called my cell phone number almost daily for two weeks.  I almost answered early on since I know people in the 253 area code, but luckily did not.  Now, after reading this, I know enough to fight back.  Thanks to all who have commented with suggestions.  It boggles my mind that the authorities have not been able to put a stop to it yet, despite four years of abuse.

I get calls almost daily from this number.  I answered one time and nobody was on the other end, just silence.  I just ignore it anymore.  It would be nice to know who this is so authorities can put a stop to it.

I get a call from this number about three (3) times a day.  It is pissing me off!!! I called back, and I got the message this call cannot be dialed.  I do not know what they want or what it is for...

Has anyone ever failed the D241 test, I wonder?

I heard someone say my name. I didn't know who they were so I kept saying hello like I couldn't hear them. They hung up then I tried calling back twice and got D241 test successful. This was the number: 407-347-4021.

Don't know why I got a call or who it is but I don't want this number ever calling again.
