So sick and tired of these jerks calling with their automated recording trying to sell me health insurance.  Called twice today and three other times last week.  Reported to DNC but it is a waste of time.

If you call them back you will get a recorded message.  Press 1 to have your number removed within 24 hrs.  Hoping it's true!

How about firing all lousy & Greedy congress people & Senators. who are getting rich off us Middle class and poor Americans.  The rich could care less about what is happening to us  because they help these greedy butts.

The fact that some people are getting calls about insurance, mortgage refinancing, and credit card reduction all from the same number has got to tell you that it's nothing more then a big fat scam. When are lawmakers going to put the companies that provide spoofing out of business for good? Technically it's outlawed, but we can all see what a great job of enforcing they do. I've call several agencies like the FCC, FTC, and states attorney's office with complaints. All I get from them is the obligatory "You're complaint has been filed" message.  They need to go after these [***] and let'em hang for all the harrassment we put up with. And to the phone companies who don't do anything to stop this, maybe I should give up my landline phone all together and spend that $30+ bill on something else. If we all threatened them with that they'd probably listen. After all, money talks.

Caller ID says "Service Department."  Nobody there when I answered.

Did not answer call = said Service Dept - went to computer to look up number on bing. As soon as I put in the number my SKYPE opened up and started calling numbers = I quickly told Skype to cancel. This was weird because I have to OPEN SKYPE manually myself to  use it.Somehow it tried to take over this part of my computer. This was insane and some type of scam for sure.

My caller id states TACOMA WA with this number but I won't answer it. They never leave a message on my machine they just hang up. I figured it was as all you guys have stated above. Yeah they get on my nerves calling all the time.

Yes, caller ID said "Service Dept". They did not leave message. They are a nuisance. Ignore them or go buy a phone that comes with inbuilt "number blocking" or "call blocking". Then block their number. Many  Panasonic phones have this feature and you don't even have to pay the phone company for it. You enter the number you want to block (up to 20 or 30 numbers depending on the particular phone) and voila! anything they call they won't get through. ;-)

Problem with blocking is that many of these calls have more then one # they use to call from. I've gotten  one "charity" who has called me 4 or 5 times this past week using a different number each time. They also like to "spoof" their numbers so you can't trace or find out the callers true identity. All the info that comes up on caller ID is false which is perfect for these crooks. Little risk and maximum profit for them. Find me a phone with 100+ blocking capabilities and then we'll talk.

Called, no one on the line.  I just reported 443-602-3717 ; might be the same company.  Here is that call info:  Started out with the standard robocall.  I pressed one to be connected to a person.  I informed them I did not have $1,000 in credit card debt, and asked them to place me on their do not call list, as I was registered at donotcall.gov.  He told me that because I had a Visa or Mastercard, I was already doing business with them and they could not be sued, as it would be thrown out of court.  I asked him to please verify the phone number that showed up on my Caller ID, as the numbers shown are not always accurate.  He said okay, and hung up on me.

This company calls me almost every day.  I never answer it and they never leave a message.  This is my business number and the reported source providing them the lead to my business is Psychology Today.  I have an ad in their directory.  Don't answer it.....I suspect it is for website marketing services.

calls a couple of times per day. letting me know about health insurance they are selling. at end, says press '2' if we called this number in error and to be removed from list. pressing 2 (or any number) causes the call to disconnect, and calls continue.

Here's one for the books.  These dummies called one on my marketing call in numbers and now they are receiving a series on my information...whether they want to or not!  Thank that robo-dialers!

You are so right about the DNC list!  I tried getting my Congressman Lamar Smith to find out the outcome of DNC violations and get was ineffective.  His office basically tells me the FTC tells him to take a flying leap and he complies.  If Congress wanted to cut out some worthless departments I'd start with the FTC's DNC department.

Lamar Smith is my congressman and when I contacted his office they were unable (more like unwilling) to push the FTC on this issue.  I've kept my correspondence between me, his office, and the FTC to ask him about it when he comes begging for votes in our city.

Got call from The Service Dept today.  So much for signing up for Do Not Call List.  If I didn't know better, I would say the DNCL is selling my number to everyone they can.  Right after I signed up for it, got more calls than ever.  Well, time to send a box of dog doo to these clowns.  Works with spam folks, should work here.
