Caller ID said "Service Dept".This call started with a message from Patricia about affordable health insurance. I chose to speak to someone and was able to get him to tell me he works for "The Insurance Group". When I asked where they were based he put me on hold and then hung up.

Got call this AM on my home land line (which is on the do not call list). I did not answer it.

Never answer any calls from unknown people. Fake caller id's and number are illegal as of Dec/2010. Criminals do not care and congressman and phone companies make money off these people. Your only recourse is to not answer calls. They would go broke very quickly if it were not for stupid people who answer these calls. Please spread the word.

I have reported these idiots several times. They use a different number after I report them.

I have the same complaint as all of you have already cited before. It is exasperating to say the least. They just used the calling number as the ID this time. I don't answer numbers that I don't know or who are out of country and there are many now calling from everywhere........

I agree. Just let my machine answer call from 253-382-9031, with Service Department as caller ID. No message left. It seems to me that the number of such calls has increased a lot over the last few months - so much so that I went back and double-checked that I was still registered on national DNCL. I was and I am. It used to be that it was local businesses using the local directory. Now it's the companies, mostly with a pre-recorded intro (illegal) promising to lower my credit card interest (I don't have any), or the ones I really despise are the ones which have been asking us to participate in a short political survey (acceptable) only to let us know that we will be rewarded for our time with a FREE two-day cruise - that's when I strongly suspect that it's not legit. Other than not answering; filing a formal complaint on the DNCL site, what can we do to get them to realize that calling people on the DNCL is a losing proposition?

got a call from these folks this afternoon to my landline in San Francisco. The recording stated that they were offering some kind of utility discount for gas service - asked how they got my number and the agent had no clue. asked that I be removed from the list, cheerily, she said she would......

I just got this same phone call.

These clowns called.  Same scam as the other morons, thinking you will give them your credit card info.  Did they see me fall off the hay truck?  My cable company lets me block calls and they're now on that handy list.  It will tell them, "the party you are calling does not accept calls from this number."

got this call. could barely make out message, something about health insurance coverage. sounded as if they were calling from a cell phone. seeing as my husbnad and i are gainfully employed and have health insurance... we sure as hell didnt call them.

We get this call a couple of times per week on our answering machine.  No messages left.  Caller ID simply says "Washington".  Very annoying, as it is a blank message and wastes our time.....

Some cable companies let you block up to 12 numbers at a time , so if they get blocked a few times, their computer dumps your phone number.  Also, some companies let you forward selected numbers, so you can forward these a>> holes to to another telemarketer that's on your call list, or send them to a phone sex line, or even the Donotcall.gov  phone number.

A call from (253) 383-9031 is from the "Service Dept". See the prior complaints set forth in this website for details, i.e., an unsolicited telephone call.

I've blocked every number that calls from this 253 area code. That said, I cannot believe some of you people are calling them back and talking with them!! And 'press 1 to be removed from our call list'... ?? Unbelievable. You don't press 1, 2, 3 or anything! Don't answer their questions, don't confirm or deny credit cards, don't call them and don't TRUST them.

It's 2012. It's ugly out there. These people are NOT your friends.
