Called my landline and I answered to a recording claiming that the FBI reports home break-ins every few minutes in the USA. Company offers to 'monitor' my home for FREE if I'll agree to them posting a sign on my front lawn advertising the company.

Asked for my name to be removed.

    Reported the call/# to donotcall.gov

    Phone Fraud
The reason a large portion of the people are having trouble with this number is because this number is being "Spoofed" by Delta Outsource Group, a collection agency located in O'Fallon, MO.  They will try and gather enough information to create an account.  Many bank accounts have been drained by this establishment and many "Spoofed" phone numbers have been fraudulently used to aquire information.
This not only hurts people by the harrassment, but also hurts the establishment that the number belongs to.

Note: Insight Services is affiliated with Delta Outsource Group.

These are scammers and they are not legitimate businesses, which is why the do not call register is not effective with them.  They are crooks and don't care if they are breaking the law.  It's like phishing on the internet, now they are jusing the phone in hopes someone is stupid enough to give them
their credit card info or social security nbr.

    Time for Revolt
An automated message from a scammer.  Today's call was for "seniors" recommending a pendant as part of some health service.  As messages here have posted, this telemarketer has a variety of angles, previously financial services.

If you have the time, keep detailed logs of the calls.  As RBB noted earlier, some people have come out ahead by suing, and that appears to be the only way to fight back directly.  If you can, get a call logger and record the calls.  The Do Not Call list is ineffective... it is voluntary on the part of the telemarketers and they are provided the DNC list by the Feds.  These scum don't care about the DNC list, they are too interested in ripping off seniors and people in financial distress.

We are actually close to canceling our landline completely.  We have already changed our number once, and really a landline is not a necessity when we have cell phones in our family.  If enough people communicate to their phone service providers that they will not continue to pay for a service that leads to this harrassment, then the phone service providers will have to deal with the problem effectively.  It boils down to, if the phone company sees customers leaving en masse due to the telemarketer harrassment, they will have a vested interest in preventing the telemarketing.

Follow the money and fight those who profit... either prepare for a lawsuit on your own (which can be lucrative if you are diligent), or cut off your phone service and force the phone company to fight the battle with these telemarketers instead of enabling them against their own paying customers.

And while I am on a rant here, one more thing... want to starve the banks?  Aim for ZERO personal debt.

The time has come to fight back, we can't expect a change in the status quo if we continue to enable corrupt practices against the citizenry by paying these corporations to screw us.

I had the same situation as others mentioned. Something about the FBI reporting break ins in the area and so on and so forth..said they'd give me a FREE home security system and sign for the yard--yeah, I called BS on THAT recording and pressed "9" to be removed from their call list. Let's hope I actually AM removed from it. Hard to tell when after pressing it, all it does is hang up. There's no "Your number has been added to our do not call" list or anything else..just a click.

I SO wish the Do Not Call list actually DID work a little bit better.

Received unsolicited call-we are on state and federal No Call Lists. Automated message indicated we could get a free security system. Gave me the option to be placed on their no call list by pressing 9 so I did on July 14, 2012. Will see if it works but will be reporting them to the FCC anyway. I hope they have a nice day! Not....
