I dialed 269-768-2102 and received this initial automated response:
"Thank you for calling. We recently called you for direct marketing purposes. If you would like to be removed from the calling list, press 1 now, or hang up to exit."
I pressed 1 and received this response:
"Thank you. Please enter the number that you called to reach us."
Entering 1-269-768-2102, I got this response from the automated attendant:
"Sorry - you have entered a number which is not associated with our company."

After some diligent digging, I determined that this number is used by a Philippines-based call center, soliciting information to expand and update SuperPages, the online superpages.com operation owned by idearc.com, who can be contacted at 800-555-4833, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am through 5:00 pm Central Time.

I suggest that you contact them and demand that the solicitations stop.

Their media relations contact responsible for superpages.com and other media inquiries is Andy Shane at 972-453-6473 or, alternatively, andrew.shane@idearc.com. I imagine that he will quickly tire of your inquiries and work judiciously to correct the problem, which centers around unsolicited calls from the Philippines on their behalf. The sensitivity of the automated calling gear is not sufficient to reliably detect your line going off hook and route you to a call center staff member, which is why so many hang-up events occur. Unsuccessful outcomes, such as a hang-up or no answer, result in automated rescheduling of calls until they are successful, explaining the annoying behavior.

Idearc appears to be a reasonably responsible and sophisticated operation, and simply may not have placed sufficient quality controls in place to detect this perceived abuse. If you contact them and explain your experience, it appears that something positive will result from your efforts. It is certainly what I intend to do

TELEMARKETERS CALLING FOR SUPERPAGES.COM
I just cancelled with Superpages.com, and started getting these calls regularly.  I answer, but the call never connects!
I called back, and they're automated system said that 269-768-2102 was not in their system!
Very annoying.

Got a call from them today.  When I called the number back 2 hours later it says "You have reached a number that is no longer in service"  Hmmm... it's the number that just called me.  Go figure

This number has called me 3 times in the last 48 hours. I have not answered and will not, so I can't verify who it is.

Caller was tapping on the phone and making a robotic voice.. I couldn't understand what was being said.
I hung up !
From reading here, I should plan on more calls.. which I will not answer.

" DO NOT CALL LIST "  does it really work ???

On the do not call list and this number has called 3 times today and numerous other times. I tried to call the number back and keep getting  a busy signal.

I just called 616-361-0128 Lucre, Inc they are the provider for that number I spoek to Scott and he said no one has called to them to complain. He would make sure that my number was removed and advises that I file a report with the FCC as I am on the do not call list.

Called me and hung up.  Don't like this.  Did some searching and found a name and number to call. PLEASE CALL THEM OFTEN AND COMPLAIN!!!  Here it is:  R. Steven Hale, 616-361-0218.  Let him have it.  He will transfer you to some other j*** but it does feel good.  He is supposed to be the VP/CEO of LUCRE, Inc.  LET HIM HAVE A TASTE OF HIS OWN MEDICINE.  It is a phone company scam!!

They call here twice a day & don't answer!

Yeah, I've been getting about 3 calls a day and they promptly hang up. I called their number back--using a different phone number--and the automated response indicated it was a telemarketing company, and to get on the no-call list, I entered the phone number they originally called. The auto response then indicated the nuber wasn't in their 'company's database'. And I just received another call and a rep actually asked me if I was the person responsible for my 'yellow pages.' After I said to get me off the list, I asked what the name of his company is, and he started to cough unexplicably, quickly apologized and then hung up. Sounds like a scam. Beware!

Same here. I called at&t ...said follow prompt. Dial *60 then # and follow prompts. You must be an At&t account holder to do this. If you are not, try calling your phone carrier and ask about call screening. Pacific Hub will not quit calling otherwise. Good Luck.

P.s. If you are an At&t account holder and using the *60# prompt doesn't work...you may need to add this feature to your account by calling At&t and asking them to add it, which I did. Ask for Call Screening feature, Believe it or not this actually lowers your monthly bill. Bonus! Thanks Pacific Hub! teehee. I never would have knkown this had they not prank called me a dozen times.

What a bogus system! Some idiot sales person calls you three times a day , even though you are on a do not call registry and you can't do anything about it??!!!!Where is the LAW?

These idiots are getting on my nerves. I answer they hang up, I *67 them it disconnects. How do these people get away with this CRAP? Hello... this is a personal cellphone, STOP CALLING ME [***]. I have called their 800 555 4833 # and the [***] told me to call my phone company because they sold them my number. 1-No they didn't 2-Delete it from your database that you idiots bought.... ma'am we can't do that your provider has the database supplied to us. Then delete from the one supplied to you. no that's not possible the only thing I can (AM PROGRAMMED TO) tell you is to call your phone company. I was so pissed off I hung up.
