- macky92These folks are certainly legitimate. They call to followup on work by the Gas company in this area. We just a gasline laid and they were calling to see what we thought of the workcrew.
- Call type: Survey
- Bothered replies to EmployeeSo why do you keep calling, calling and calling? I asked not be called. 4 years of college and you get to harass people. Losers.

- PRLEIA replies to Todd MuseThey keep callling us our # In Buffalo and all we get is deafening static! Get a better phone system and stop calling people that hang up on you!
- ReneThoroughbred Research/ RIO They seem to change numbers and call 4 or more times a day. We no longer pick up our house phone if we don't know the number. Yes, they are telemarketers, why call a number more than once if you are doing research? There is no asking nicely to take us off the list. We have to re put our number on the do not call list every month.

- Annoying Calls-Again! replies to Todd Muse| 1 replyTO: Todd Muse (real name?) & Associate/s,
Is this a prank, joke, etc? Do you have too much time for nonsense & annoyances?? Are you in some type of mental facility, or worse???
Your post is NOT that of a true professional!!! It's always essential and important to check spelling. Give it a try; then, review your post! - MicheleI don't care if Thoroughbred Rescue is legitimate or not. I'm sure they aren't scammers but I DO NOT want to be bothered with unsolicited calls in the privacy of my own home. I just want peace & quiet and to be left alone and I don't care why you're calling me, just stop! I've got better things to do than taking some dumb survey.
- Caller: Thoroughbred Research

- Cell PhoneCalled at 14:58 EDT, left a blank 4-minute-long blank voicemail.
- Caller: Unidentified
- Sue replies to Cincinnati JoeThey keep calling over and over and over and over...sometimes never saying anything. Finally I waited a long time and they asked for the "male" head of household. I don't think so.
- MrPoohI received two calls today (10/12/2012) from this number to my cell phone. In both instances, no message was left. One call was received at 3:12 pm, and the other at 7:27 pm (EST).
I tried calling back the number at 3:13 pm but I just heard a recording on the other end about the research group. I find the repeated calls annoying and a disturbance and would prefer if they want something that they leave a message.- Caller: ??? Research Group in ??? Kentucky
- ThoroughBred Research Group Employee replies to Annoying Calls-Again!The previous post from "Todd" is actually a legitimate higher-up employee 's name who is part of this company. This company i am employed for and we do NOT ask you for money or information that would be deemed usable to create fraud. Most of the employees will never be rude to you, when we call you we are doing our jobs just as you do (or have done in the past) yours, and people who are patient and kind to us make it a lot easier for us to address -your- concerns and needs. If you want us never to call you again, you can tell us that, but hanging up on us before we can even tell you the reason we're calling is not the way to make us stop calling in our profession.
We're not "telemarketers" due to the fact we do not sell anything nor will we send you to anyone who does by calling you. Market research is how we gather information like who likes this and who doesn't like that and why so that companies that hire us can change and adjust their products and services to better suit your needs as consumers. By doing the surveys you're helping mold those companies' choices. However, it is your right to refuse to participate. Sometimes we ask you to verify your phone number so that we know the correct number is being removed from our number lists, however, if you tell us you do not want to participate we will mark down the number we dial to do so. All requests for removal take sometimes 72 hrs to get removed due to the amount of numbers that are on our lists. However, please be assured they are removed.
If anyone is ever rude to you, swearing, yelling or cursing at you it is the correct procedure to use the emails/phone numbers given in the past posts to inform management of this. Or if you feel you're not being heard simply ask the person on the phone to speak to their supervisor. I know most of you, myself included, don't like to be bothered when you're at home. However, after having this job i do have more of an appreciation for how difficult the job is to do when you have less than willing respondents. We call people all over the world of all ages according to what the company's that hire us want in their target audience. So please don't ever feel that you're not qualified to give your opinions. They do matter.
Most of the surveys we conduct are in the 10 min long range, but some are shorter. It really depends on the surveys and the answers we get from you. If you don't have time or don't want to do them just tell us. We respect your rights to refuse.
Sincerely,
ToroughBred Research Group Employee - Employee of TBRG replies to Lj JohnsonIf someone has called you past 9pm that is an error on our part and I do apologize this has occured. This should not happen at all unless it was a mistake on an employee's part as the systems digitally shut-off the numbers being handed to us after 9pm is reached in the system for that area. 9pm is the latest we are supposed to call so i am sorry that you were inconvenienced after such! However, Thank you so much for participating in the surveys you've done. It really is appreciated. If you're called after 9pm again I recommend sending an email to one of the names listed in previous posts of contact information for the research group in order to find out the source of why this is occurring. However, if you do not wish to that is fine as well. Thank you once again
- Nice replies to Employee| 2 repliesYour ignorant & should get a REAL job. I have yet to speak to anyone on the phone because they hang up EVERYTIME. If we like a product don't you think that we should be the one's calling you?
- Employee of TBRG? replies to Nice| 1 replyFirst of all, if you're going to call someone ignorant, don't spell words like "You're" as "Your". It makes you look like an ignorant hypocrite which you obviously are, mad bro, as you've made clear in your statement. I may -have- to be nice to you while i'm on the clock, but I sure as hell don't have to be on my free-time. I get PAID to call your rude little self so it's more of a REAL job than you may believe. I would love to see you even ATTEMPT to do my job. Though judging by your grammar skills you probably would not even pass the hiring exam. If you paid much attention to the words that people speak when they're calling you we're hired to gather opinions in a poll. (The only time when people 'call and hang up' it is not a.) the system breaks and the computer thinks you do not answer. b.) You do not answer the phone so the interviewer cannot continue or c.) when you let your answering machine pick up. In which case, no one leaves voice mails, as that would fill up your voice-mail spaces and we don't need to speak to machines as they do not have opinions.) There are no "Products" to be sold. So why wouldn't a company ask the consumer what they're interested in? How can they know when 99% of people won't get off their lazy rumps to go pick up a phone and share their opinions because it inconveniences them to take 10 minutes out of their "oh-so-busy-tv-watching" to tell them that. Maybe of people were more active in sharing their opinions companies would not have to pay people to seek them. Ever thought about that?
So how about you take your (see the proper use of the word 'your' here?) ignorant self and invest in an education and some manners before you go biting people's heads off who actually have jobs and lives to go on with?
P.S. In case your brain did not comprehend the usage error you made in "Your" ignorant rage post here it is in plain statement for your information.
1- calling yourself 'nice' is an arrogant remark of inaccuracy when your post contradicts the very terminology.
2- Your = possession. "Your shirt, Your car, Your House, Your Choice"
3- You're = You are. "You're ignorant." (As you should have said rather than making yourself look ignorant)
Here is what you posted:
You are replying to the following post made by 'Nice'
Your ignorant & should get a REAL job. I have yet to speak to anyone on the phone because they hang up EVERYTIME. If we like a product don't you think that we should be the one's calling you?
Thank you for your time. That is all the information that I have for you today. Have a nice day and I do hope that you're more sensible in the future. I wish you well.
- E of TBRG - Joe replies to Employee| 1 replyYou work for a system that "harasses" people and get upset because people are fed up with it? Don't be angry at the people giving you a hard time...be angry at the harassing system your employer has you using!
- Employee of TBRG replies to JoeAnd how do you people know that we aren't angry at that very system? Just because some of us only have this choice in work because of the state of the job market doesn't mean we agree with it. So maybe you should stop being crude to those who are only doing their jobs to get that paycheck that helps them live. If you want to complain about how it's done go to the company leaders (provided in previous posts) not to the people only doing their jobs. It's like those idiots who protest soldier funerals because they don't like the war. Those soldiers most of the time don't either, but they have a job to do. As crappy as it may be.
So before you get up in arms about being fed up with it stop and think about the fact there are people who hate the job but -need- the pay it provides
If you don't want to talk to us don't answer your phone, or answer and tell us to remove your number, simple as that. Every survey is over at the end of the month anyway. If you want our numbers blocked contact your provider and ask them to block incoming calls from our number. Then you'll never have to deal with us again. However, being rude to people who are mannered to you just because you're 'fed up' with their job isn't going to solve anything. If anything it'll only make it worse.
i'm sure you wouldn't want to go to work every day to hear "SHUT THE [***] UP" "STOP [***] CALLING ME" "GET A REAL [***] JOB " "WHY DON'T YOU GO DIE? " "STUPID [***]" amongst other horrible things. (Sorry for the colorful language there but the quotes are vulgar)
We hear those things on a daily basis and some people don't think about the fact that this employer caters to disabled or mentally ill as well. Some people have a hard time holding strings together as it is and when someone makes them feel worse by saying unnecessary things it's pretty heartbreaking. You'd think these "Adults" we call would act more like adults. - JayWhile I don't like being called at random hours, I do appreciate the fact one or more employees from the company took the time to respond to people's questions/concerns politely (except for a couple of occasions). There is no need to be impolite, in my opinion, to people who are trying to explain.
Also, I don't see the point in getting upset at these guys for calling. You should be displeased with the service company that asked them to call you - a gas company in my case.
My 2 cents.- Caller: Unknown
