They call me on my phone and at work telling me they are a debt collector or law office.

Debt collector looking for Randy something or other..

I received a call from this number while at work.  The woman on the other end of the line introduced herself as being from the law offices of Brithe & Associates in Houston, Texas.  She said I was an emergency contact for (some individual I'd never heard of).  
I googled the firm name... bogus!  I even looked the firm name up on the State Bar of Texas... they DO NOT exist!

I got a call today from this number looking for my sister. I looked them up and found this website http://britheassociatespllc.com/ It says they are a collections and litigation law firm. I dont know how they got my phone number they said that my number was the only number they had for my sister. I thought it was odd as my sister doesnt even list me as an emergency contact anywhere and my number is fairly new. Are you sure its a bogus firm??

This company called me they were very rude the lady said her name was Ms. Brown she sounded like she was right the street. Very ghetto speech. She proceed to have me verify my info to tell me that i had to pay or i was going to jail. I explain to her that i had paid that debt off and that she was violating my rights and she was harassing me. She said she will put an attorney on the line. When the next woman answer the phone she said her name was Mrs. Robbins and i proceed to ask her for her bar code. She said to Google her law firm www.britheassociatespllc.com  I said that is a fake site created on 2012 by you and ask for her bar code she hung up. '

'Ms Williams' called and left me a message saying I had a litigation case in her office... When I called back she (with a THICK southern accent) all but demanded I 'verify' my social security number before she could discuss the case with me, when I told her "I don't even know who you are, I'm not giving ANY confidential information!", she asked me if I had a lawyer because she could send them the information but by law she couldn't discuss the matter with me any further.  @#*^ THAT! I ended the phone call and spoke to the police about it and they told me "it was a scam, no reputable business will ask you for your social security number".

She called acting like it was a emergency to call her back, and she even called my mom and said it was n emergency to call her back and she knows that I don't put her down like that. She was really rude with us and I agree her website is fake.

My mom just got a call from them also.  they were very rude to my mom.  is this legit or not? very rude to me too.  very ghetto.

My Friend a phone call from this number regarding me...I don't know how they got my friends phone number.  They did call my office and I asked for a copy of a letter for the amount of money owed and who I owed it too.  It was emailed to me and then they call and state that I refused to pay, and the lady just kept hollaring stating I was playing games and hung up.

I received a call from them stating I owed money and if I didn't pay I was going to jail. I've never heard of them before but when I tried explaining that debt was taken care of, the lady proceeded to say it wasn't and if didn't pay $170.00 on the 28th of December I would be going to jail. I got scared and gave my credit card info. Something wasn't setting well w/me so I decided to look the number up. I found that a lot people are saying they're fake. I too believe it's a fraud now since I looked them up. Can someone tell me what I need to do being they have my credit card number. It's prepared but I don't want them taking any money from me.

I got a call from them today. I plan on giving them some crap. Still dont know if their a real business.

What ever happened with that?

This company needs better employees. You dont talk to people like that.

i have been recieving calls from 281 668 9925 and they say i owe for a loan from 3 yrs ago. they said the sent letters to me under the name light house recovery. i dont remember them and i told the lady who keps calling i could not pay for 2 weeks and she was like ill get back to you after she talks to her litigation team. i really dont think i have to pay since she was also saying i must pay 30percent down to stop anything from happeneing. i really want to know if i have to pay or not and i want them to send me something.

Just to let you know this has happened to me too. I went through so much crap with them that eventually i just stopped picking up their calls, if they want to get anywhere they  need to learn to be professional. This is a collection agency owned by an attorney. The women who work the collection agency pretend to be attorneys even giving me fake/stealing the real attorneys bar number, thats how desperate they are. Do not give them your debt card number, send in a money order they will claim they dont accept money through mail but a friend of mine who is an attorney said they can not do that. They must accept at least a money order from you. Also check your credit report they may not even be on your credit report which is a red flag. Ask for proof of the debt, they too sent me an email with my debt but not the orginal paper work. It didnt have the orginal amount i borrowed, my payment history, etc. I also did not recieve this paper work in the mail yet so their SOL. They claimed the reason why they didnt have a payment history was because i never made a payment (might i add its very hard to talk to them because they yell and talk over you) but thats where they screwed up with me cause i did make payments. Unprofessional and dont have their story straight.

i called them as well and was treated poorly but i did call the number asked to speak with the attorney and i googled texas state bar info she does different legal matters was advised to look at texas bar. also she has 2 law firms. but i called and asked for her directly so i would advise ask to speak with an attorney or someone highrer ranking.
