Just got this call too and am on Qwest (think it's a local outfit--I'm in Seattle, WA)

You all realize a company is not violating the DNC list rules unless they explicitly ask you to purchase something. Asking some stupid question and then following it w/ a commercial doesn't count.

I used to work @ a market research firm and we were able to call anybody we wanted because we weren't selling anything. Same goes for charities.

What about telephone surveys?
If the call is really for the sole purpose of conducting a survey, it is not covered. Only telemarketing calls are covered — that is, calls that solicit sales of goods or services. Callers purporting to take a survey, but also offering to sell goods or services, must comply with the National Do Not Call Registry.

just rcvd a call on my cell and i answered it. the male voice said press 1 for "garbled instructions".  i just hung up.

Some robot guy told me Paul had some kind of message for me and wanted me to press 1 or 2 for something.  I don't even know where the 302 area code is, so I just hung up without pressing anything.

OK. I just got my first call from this number and got some stupid ad. Yesterday I called a toll free number I had heard in a radio ad - The number was 800-779-5517. I was using my cell (Yeah, Stupid) but the cell number is on the DNC list too.

I am BETTING there is a connection between these two numbers!

Got a cell phone call, couldn't understand it quite frankly, then it disconnected. Maybe it's this web site that wants you to join as a member to trace such unwarrented calls? I wonder....

just got a call from 302.336.7401 on my t-mobile phone. didn't answer it. no message was left.

I also got a call from 302-336-7401 but when I went to register a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry I got this message:

The phone number 302-336-7401 was registered on September 20, 2008. Companies may call you for up to 31 days after that date. You may file a complaint if a company calls you after October 21, 2008.

Wow-I just got this call this afternoon, on my cell phone & yes I have T-Mobile! Very interesting. I didn't answer it at all, so I don't know about the robotic voice, but the T-Mobile connection is vedy, vedy interesting....

Seems like almost everyone here is with either T Mobile or AT&T. Sure there's no connection at all???

Got call today and no message.  Is this a scam?

I'm on the gov't Do Not Call list and I still received this phone call. Did not answer and caller did not leave message.
