I'm on the list but received the call from 302-336-7405 on Jan 1 at 2:30 pm

Yes, it's HeyCosmo. Some of their services sound useful but others (like prankster) are not ones I would like to receive a call from. And their business practices are sneaky (see below).

To block all phone messages from HeyCosmo, have your phone handy as well as a web browser. Visit www.heycosmo.com. Click Block/Unblock and enter your number. You will receive a phone call on that number a few seconds later. Follow instructions. You will have to press various digits. After each press, listen immediately for the next instruction. CAUTION: When it asks you if your number is a cell/mobile phone, RESPOND NO or you will start receiving text message spam.

If you do receive text message spam, call the number in the text message and opt out. You may still receive spam every few minutes for up to 24 hours after you opt out. I turned off my text message ring tone during that 24 hours.

I hope my number doesn't get sold.

Rec'd call on 1/1/09 at 4:31 from this number, trying to figure out who it is.  Did not answer or call back.

I got a call from 302-336-7405 on 1/1/09 at 6:53pm. It rang for a couple minutes, then hang up. No message is left to my voice mail.

received a call on 12/31.  didn't answer.

Call was made 12.31.08 and no message was left. Do not know this number.

Received a call at 4.51pm EST on January 2, 2009. The call rang once and immediately hung up. Instead of calling the number, I googled it and found this.

I think I answered this once and it was a magazine subscription service.  Told them not to call me anymore and to take me off their list.  Just got another call from them- no message.

I believe that these people call due to those that use 1-800-FREE411.  They use the same call back star key prompts as the above service.

They also appear to be a message service that throws online messages to your cell phone via phone call.

Call from this # to my cell, 1/1/2009, 6:05 p.m. A total mystery to me.

I just got a call from this number.....didnt answer it...no voice mail and I search it to here.  Why isnt there something someone can do about companies like this.....At least it just plain Wrong.......don't you agree?
