Same thing occurred to me just now.  They called at 10:36 AM CST on a government cell phone.  I answered and they immediately hung up.  Perhaps they are testing to see if numbers are active?  What can I do to take action against this?  Like many others, the my number is also on the DNC list.

They called me 9:56, I heard one blurb of noise (like someone in a call center), and then they hung up. Really annoying.

they called me Jan 5:41 pm and mumbled something, then hung up.

Received an unsolicited call at 1:22 p.m. pacific time.

Just got the phone call, 4:58 Eastern Time
no message left, I live in DC

1:54 pm California time just got a call. One ring and then hung up.

i got a call on my cell phone i did not want.no voice only static on line.

Just call a called also 1/8/09 2:00pm pdt.

I consider it an invasion of my privacy, don't like it at all. What action can I take to prevent these guys from calling again?

Received call, no message left.

They called and didn't leave a message and didn't even let it ring all the way. We need to nip this in the butt cause it is getting old.

Recieved Phone call from 302-336-7405 at 5:34pm no message left.

Received a call from this number on 1/4/08 @08:16 a.m. PST but no message left.

I got one, too.

Got a call from them at 6pm. Fortunately my phone was on silent, as I was in a meeting. Thanks to you all for your comments; they let me know I can trash this call without calling back and wasting my time and money.
