Another of the spoofed numbers from one of the biggest scam companies. Do not answer.

someone called from this number.  I said hello numerous time with no response from the caller. I heard noises on the phone but they did not speak.  I just hungup !  This is like the 3rd Call I got from this number ....

I just recieved a call from this number and sure enough they asked for me while horribly mispronouncing my name and then the guy slammed the phone down and upon redailing the number, I was greeted by a pre-recorded message that zaid the number was disconnected. However, this is not true. that recording is fake and is set up by whomever is making those calls in order to make you stop calling and it hang up on you. I filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry at www.donotcall.gov and mentioned this web page. you should all file complaints as well and law enforcement will pursue the caller.

I recd numerous calls and when I called back, number is "not in service"

We have been getting calls from these people off and on for several weeks.  I never answered until the other day because I did not recognized the number and they never left a msg.  However, I was getting sick of the calls so I finally answered the other day so I could tell them to stop calling me.  I had the same experience as many others in that there was a delay of several seconds before someone asked for my husband, by his first name only.  I said he was not home and asked who was calling.  The guy said something like "This is Mike from the warrnaty service department" or something like that.  I then asked what it was in regard to and he said something like "the warranty on your 2004 Ford Explorer."  All I really snapped to at first was the Ford Explorer thing because we do have one.  So, I'm thinking right then that the call is legit and I said "He's at work, let me give you the number" whereupon he hung up on me.  I also called back and got the same disconnect message that everyone else gets.  

Does anyone have any input on the best way to deal with these people?  I think I have learned to not confirm any information such as whether or not there is a person by the name they are asking for.  I certainly know not to give any credit card or bank info. and in the future I will not answer any numpber I do not recognize without checking it out at this site first.  I think one reason they are hanging up is when they realized the person they are speaking to is not going to hand over information without first checking about why they are calling, etc.  I think they hang up when they realize they don't have a "sucker" on the line.

Forgot to say that while we do have a Ford Explorer it was not the year number they gave.  It does seem like they do seem to have the right manufacturer and model right in a lot of cases.  Does anyone know how they mgiht be getting this information?

So how about that???  Further more, I don't give one big fat crap if you look up the tens of dozens of consumer complaints about how we conduct business. Wait for the message to tell you to press the phone key that gets you the extension you want by punching in the first few letters of the person's last name. For instance, to reach me, listen to the voice prompts, then just punch in 3 then 7. Thats the numbers on your key pad that correspond to the first two letters, (F and R ) of my last name. So remember that name Rogers P. Freeland Jr. I am the President of this ridiculous business and I can't wait to hear from you personally. I'm even going to provide you all with my home phone in the "Very" near future as well as directions to my home. So when you really want to blow off some steam about the bone-headerd phone calls you get from my company, you can meet with me, face to face. i keep getting this call but never answer it because i do not know the number as it is not familia

We are on a do not call list. We do not answer calls without caller's name or telephone. After they kept calling two to three times a day, I called their number back but the operator kept telling me that it could not be completed- check you number and try again! So much for do not call lists.

very rude to me.  I told him I took care of my own vehicle and he ask if I was a mechanic.  I then hung up.

Okay, I just pick up the phone and hang it up.  Cordless so I just hit the button.  It seems to have worked as they are not calling.  Took a few weeks.

They have called several times a week.  They have never left a message. I returned the calls and it states it's not a working number.  So they must have enabled some fake caller ID number.  We are on the Nat'l no call list, they are violating the law.

They keep calling and calling and calling......

This number has been calling our home at least once or more each week.
The caller hangs up when the answering machine picks up.

There were several calls from this number. Today I picked up, I had to ask few times "hello???"and then a man asked for my husband, when I told he`s not here,yet, he hung up.

Calling asking for my husband. When I said he wasn't home can I help you they hung up. We get a lot of these Florida calls. They get nasty when you tell them to stop calling..I don't understand why we have to put up with this when we are on the do not call list.

i have been receiving a call from this number asking for my husband ( car is under my name). Started asking him some questions about processing paper work that its the final call in order to extend warranty. then as soon as i took phone off his ear and I STARTED TALKING TO HIM he immedietly said that he was having problems with his system and if he can call me back. i immedietly called my dealership which i am good friends with and he told me to IGNORE this call thats its a scam. so glad i found this website.
