- JermeyRI also received this call, figuring it was a scam I had read about. I asked him which computer he was referring to, to give me the band name and model, and the IP address of that computer so I could know which one he was talking to me about. Naturally he hung up. Total scam, and he didn't speak very good English, always the first clue.
- R MerrillYES! I received a call from 3072435143 - said he is a Microsoft technician (or equivalent) and told me to type ASSOC command. The guy has a strong Indian accent, name was "James Thomas", which is pure [***]. The guy is obviously a jerk. I told him to give me "his phone number", and he did:

- JenkayReceived a call from this number at my work phone - which is on a US Gov't Military installation! Heavy middle-eastern accent saying he was from Microsoft wanting to resolve some technical issues on my computer. Authoritatively told him that he was calling a US military installation - he then hung up. Someone needs to put these people behind bars for the scam attempts.

- MEHad the same call as everyone else but I played along till he wanted me to confirm my computers unique ID number. He requested me to press the Windows button and the letter R at the same time. Then he wanted me to enter CMD Assoc in the run line. Then he requested me to confirm my CLSID ( a unique number that only my PC has). I'll be turning this into the FBI and Homeland security since "Alex" sounded as if he may be from India or some some other country.
- Caller: 3072435143 said it was Microsoft

- RayScam wanting to "fix" my computer.
They call couple times a day now and its always the same message: I need you to type this into your computer so they can fix it.
We ended up blocking the number because they simply would not quit calling no matter what you told them.
Someone must be really bored to set in front of a phone and do this day in and day out.- Caller: Wyoming
- Barbara KI have gotten so many of these calls saying my computer is sending signals and I need to cut it on and let them fix it. How stupid do they think we are. Finally I started telling them that I did not even have a computer and they would hang up. They are still calling on a fairly regular basis and I just got off of the phone with someone from this number and I let him think that I was turning my computer on and following his instructions (without actually lying) and finally I told him that I was going to have to lay my phone down ... which I did for a few minutes and when I picked it up, I asked if he was still there. He said yes and I told him that I had to get off. That was on my home phone and immediately, he called back on my cell phone and said something about canceling my microsoft and to enjoy my new computer. I do not understand how he got my cell phone number but I guess that will remain a mystery.
- EmilyMy father recieved a call from a Wyoming number. The only reason he stuck on the line was beacuase they pronounced the last name right, which is often mispronounced. The gentelmen with a very heavy Indian accent informed my father something was wrong with the computer and we had been "hacked". The man claimed he worked for microsoft and there was problems with the computer. I am his daughter and knew this was a scam so I took the phone and asked what the problem was with the computer and I got a response of "shut the hell up! Shut the hell up!" several times. This is a scam, something needs to be done about this! The number came from 307-243-5143 Cheyenne Wyoming.
- Smart AmericanThe number, (307) 243-5143 called my cell and showed itself as a number from Cheyenne, WY. I answered and was greeted by elevator music. I immediatly hung up and did a reverse telephone number check. No such number. I tried calling the number from my work phone and got a message that this was an invalid number. I wish there was a way to stop these [***]!!!!
