When I get these calls from supposedly a tech from Microsoft, and they tell me my computer is sending error messages, I just say "REALLY, that's weird cause I don't even own a computer"  They are so dumbfounded that they just hang up....

They called said the same thing. "Expert PC Company". We are getting many errors from your computer are you in front of it?
I went through that last fall. Don't remember what name he was using, he said they were based in Dallas Texas. Told him I was taking my computer to my local Tec expert. Gave him no information. Then searched the number and found this scam.

Just called today, 03/18/15 and said it again! I yelled at the guy, GET off my phone and don't call this house again! Well that lasted about an hour and they called back. Of course we didn't answer....

I had a similar experience - called saying she was "from Microsoft" and wanted to diagnose all of the critical error messages I've been getting on my computer. My computer has been working just fine. She transferred me to a guy who immediately started giving me demands and wanted me to run some program on my computer. When I asked for verification that he was really from Microsoft, he started reading me some really long number that he claimed was my "computer identification number" - presumably he was then going to tell me where to find it on my computer. Forget it!!

Homeboy calls me as I've been day drinking and he says he's from Microsoft and my computer needs help, I think 'I have a Mac...' And said "I don't need help thanks!" So he said "ok I love you" so I exclaimed, "I LOVE YOU TOO (hahahahaha)" and hung up. Clearly a scam.

I received a call from this number today 04/09/15, I didn't recognize it so I didn't answer. Caller ID was "Name not Found"  Went to voicemail and they left no message. After reading the comments on it, I am glad I didn't answer it.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone.
They're obviously still at it!

Did he have a strong accent?  As soon as I hear his voice I hang up on him. Calls me several times, each time something different. I told him I didn't have a computer and hung up.

I received the same call, the man told me that something was wrong with my computer and that he was from Microsoft. He said that they were receiving a lot of errors from my computer and someone is trying to steal my information.  He asked me to go to my computer and turn it on and a few other things.  I told him I had to go, call me back the next day when I have some time to talk.
I called Microsoft and explained to them what happen and Microsoft told me that they don't call anyone unless they are returning your phone call concerning an issue or a conversation that they might have had with you and got cut off.  Microsoft also said don't give them none of your personal information or any credit card info.  Microsoft said don't let them get on your computer because they can get your private information, password and can destroy your computer with virus. The number I used to call Microsoft is 1-800-642-7676

Received call from "Alex" who had problems speaking English.  Said he has received several error messages from my computer and wanted to help.  I told him I doubted he received any error messages from my computer and hung up.

OK, I have been getting calls from this number for a while so I decided that I would pull the same thing on him so I set my phone to recognize this number as scam so I answered my phone "Microsoft Technical Support" Agent # 99764285, How can I help you" They are so stupid that he didn't even listen to the information that I gave when I answered the phone. He still said that he was Alex with Microsoft and that I had a problem with my computer. I stated that I am Agent #99764285  with Microsoft Technical Support and again asked how I can help him. He said I'm sorry, I have the wrong number. I said wait a minute, I will transfer you to a senior agent to help and he hung up.  Funny!!!b Ran like a little girl. So funny.

caller said they have been receiving errors from my computer for a couple weeks, told her I did not deal with criminals, that her company was making her a criminal because she was violating "do not call" list, she hung up.

I've received several calls from this number. After reading reports on the type of calls coming from this number, I decided to answer. A man with a heavy accent told me he was "Susan Martin" (he must have picked up the wrong script), then gave me the schpiel about being from Microsoft. I decided to play along & tapped on my desk so it would sound like I was typing. After a few minutes of me vowing I was doing exactly what Susan was telling me to do but I was getting nothing on my computer, he gave me another command & ordered me to tell him what message was on my computer. I to;d him it said "Susan is an @$$ hole. This call is a scam", & hung up before he started yelling.
I got another call today.  I told "Steve" the truth; that I use Linux & haven't used Windows in years. He politely said he'd take my name off the calling list.

I keep receiving these phones calls from this number and it is ridiculous. 3-4 times a day. What is this number is it a scam?

Got a call from this number again they call every day usually my husband is home and he plays games with them until they hang up. We have asked them numerous times to not call back. Today I answered the phone same line from a very pushy woman saying my computer was sending messaged well I kept asking questions until she said it was windows, well [***] I have a MAC so there goes that [***]. Told her to _______ off and quit calling

This caller said he was calling about my computer. Told him I did not have a computer and hung up. He called me back FOUR times and said the most vile, horrible, vulgar things to me. The last time he called I laid the phone down and let him finish his rant and hung up. Hopefully I won't be hearing from him again. Had me in tears. These morons need to be stopped.

At 6:55 p.m Saturday night, I got a call from that phone number. It was really noisy in the background and the gal said her name was Layla. She had  a heavy foreign accident. She said she could find out what was wrong with my computer.  I told her not to call me again and I hung up.

At 7:09 p.m Saturday night, I just got another call from that phone number. He also had a strong foreign accent and identified himself as being from Windows and said he wanted to fix my computer problems. I told him I was just called from the same place and how did they get my phone number.  He hung up on me.
