this number called me once an hour all day...

calls and rings once and hangs up

I have been receiving calls from this number as late as 11:00 last night and several times a day.  I got sick of it and answered and no one was there.  It stops after 3 rings.  It is driving me crazy @##$%^^

Called my Denver area code number (303) at 10:00 tonight.  No message left.

A third party is engaging in Caller ID Spoofing, which means they are taking advantage of a telephone network vulnerability to display a number (310-429-5382) on the recipient's caller ID display which is not the actual originating number.

Congress recently passed the "Truth in Caller ID Act of 2010" which is expected to be signed into law by the President later this year. The bill makes it illegal "to cause any caller ID service to transmit misleading or inaccurate caller ID information, with the intent to defraud and deceive."

Addressing this issue will require a significant investment from all telco's. As such, companies have been naturally reluctant to proceed until it becomes law and the FCC's enforcement rules are finalized.

We have been receiveing calls from this phone no. 310-429-5382 almost daily, at least every other day or so for over a month.  When we answer the phone no is there.  I have tried a number time to recall this phone and we get a message from (Verizon) stating that this number is no longer in service or has been changed -----  which has to be a lie as many times as they try to call us. Other than phone number we have no other information as to who is calling us.
What can be done to stop the annoying calls????

This has been happening to me over the past week and as soon as I pick up it hangs up...So I *67'd and called back and its the same thing as everyone else...verizon phone number has been changed or disconnected! I have been getting them anywhere from 5:00 p.m. up until 1:00 in the morning! Its quite irritating!

Yep same issue..I HATE TELEMARKETERS and wonder why 300 million Americans Must opt out RATHER THAN A COMPANY WHO WISHED TO CONTACT ME OPT IN !!!?? Make too much sense when our officials are paid off by half of the business world, yeah they are called lobbyist !!

I keep getting calls from this number. Who is it????

I have gotten calls at least 4 times a day for week and it's getting on my last nerve.  I don't know what to say, I have ATT for my cell.  I don't know what everyone else has but it sucks.

This number calls me every day,since i dont recognize number i dont pick up and when you call back this number it says its been changed or disconnected.

Have been getting calls from this number from 6:00am till 12:45am very annoying. WTF.

I got several calls from 310-429-5382 yesterday and today - every hour from about 5pm to 1am, and then again this morning at 9am. When I called the number back I got a message that it was a Verizon Wireless number that was not in service, error message "2 switch 2-32" - Calls to the FCC are great and all, but this appears to be a number that was pirated from Verizon Wireless. I called Verizon Wireless customer service and explained the situation - I asked them to have their NOC look into it (Network Operations Center) - this is not Verizon's fault if someone hacked the number and is using it illegally.
What you *should* do is call Verizon Wireless at 1-800-922-0204, keep pressing zero until you get a live person. Explain the situation and tell them the exact error message you get when you call the number back. Let them know there are online forums about this number so this is a widespread problem. They should be able to trace the number through their switch and catch any issues that are allowing someone to hack the number. I worked for a telephone company for 8 years, this is fixable but Verizon probably doesn't even know about it.

This is really strange.  I am receiving the same type of calls.  At least three to four times per day.   When I answer, it appears no one is there when my answering service picks up same thing.

You can block this number from calling.
