Just the same as eveyone else.  I think someone is somehow using this number to piggy back off of and is calling random people as a test to see if anyone can trace it.  If they feel confident that no one will trace it then they'll probably use this method to make bomb threats or something.  Why else would random people be getting this trended phone call for ~6 months?

Shannon does not have a cell phone, never has, and never has had an account with Verizon. We are trying to understand whats going on the same as all you folks.

Same as everyone. Dead air and return call says disconnected or no longer in service. Call to my cell phone.
My cell provider says I have two options: 1) change my number or make police report. So police can figure it out. What a hassle

Caller ID said, "Santa Monic, CA" - withOUT the "a" on "Monica".  No one was there when I answered.  When I immediately called them back, it mentioned Verizon and said the number had been changed or disconnected.

Alright, I just called the number and got an answer. The lady that answered the phone said she has been getting calls from people saying they looked into it and that the caller ID is being spoofed. I just saw a commercial and a show on ID theft about this. Apparently there are services you can sign up for that allow you to make a call and input any number you want on the caller ID. ID theifs are using cards you can purchase off ads on TV or the net to make calls appear as they came from the bank, loan office, etc. You simply make a call and input whatever number you want to show on the receivers caller ID. GREAT...we can no longer trust what our caller ID shows. Hopefully the FTC gets involved with this one!

This number calls my house and cell at all times of the day and night also.. this is getting annoying and needs to be stopped. What can i do?? Its driving me CRAZY!!!!

The calls have stopped !!

I was getting the same annoying calls to my home phone as everybody else is reporting . I am in the Los Angeles, California area and have Verizon residential phone service. I called them several days ago to find out what I could do to stop the calls andthe service representative gave me these instructions. She told me that the next time I get a call from that number I should immediately pick up the phone and then hit the number 2 seven times then hang up. It took a few tries to get it right but I finally picked up the phone quick enough (before the caller disconnected) hit the number 2 seven times then hung up. I haven't received another call from that number since. As far as I know, there will be no charge for blocking the calls this way. I hope a lot of other people can use this to stop these harassing calls.

I recieve 3-4 calls per day from this number and can't call it back, they just disconnect after dialing.  IT"S IRRATATING!!!

Verizon should be made responsible to stop these calls, I recommend everyone start calling Verizon, until they fix the problem.

I get phone calls from 1-310-429-5382 every day usually around 10:30, 11:00 at night from this number. First time I called it back to find who it was. I got: "Welcome to Verizon wireless the number you dialed has been change, disconnected or is not longer in service. If you feel you have reached this recording on error, please check the number and try your call again. Announcement 2 switch 2-3, 2" then hangs. Caller ID is the number itself. This is very annoying; can anything be done to correct this?

get at least 5 calls a day, on weekends 8 - 10. Call it back from cell, home land line, and work land line, get the same message, verizon wireless customer is disconnected. Did a reverse look up and it is based in California.

This number calls me at least 4 times a day and has been doing it for about a month. They have started calling after midnight and they wake up my 4 year old that needs her rest!

This number calls me all day long.  They don't leave a message and when I call the number back, it says this caller is not available at this time, please try again later.  It's very annoying.

i just got a call from this number, at 12:30 in the morning EST!

I've been getting two to three calls a day from this number on a new cell phone account (AT&T)... there must be some tie-in with a phone list provider, as I JUST activated this number
