Legit Broker replies to Me :)
Do a FINRA broker check on him and it will give you all the details. The sad part is you can't do a broker check on ANY of the other HSA employees because they don't hold any licenses. Their knowledge of the industry is pathetic at best and I have know idea why anyone would do business with someone who is so extremely unqualified.

Very Interesting!! - Madison Street Cap
    Be forewarned all !!!!!!!!

The company formally known as Houlihan Smith Investment Banking - is now Madison Street Capitol. They do not carry their own funds - they broker deals to venture captiol groups or raise money on your assets for high interest rates. It is just like the sub-prime lending in the housing industry except for businesses!!! They may even change their number so be on the look out!!!!!

Unless your a business in serious finanicial trouble and have potential to grow - then maybe you could use their advise.

    What's up Houlihan Banker!!

I do think you will find it interesting that Houlihan now had to change their name to "Madison Street Capitol" - Not really sure why you still work there when you are forced to stand on your feet all day and make over 250 calls a day to leads you cannot even keep track of on a "computer" for how many times you have actually attempted to call an Owner of a small to mid size business. It sounds as if you are "Brain Washed" and should seek out other opportunities.

Secretaries out there - this is the reason these calls just keep on coming. They call off of pieces of paper in files!!!!!!!! There is no database of how many times they call because they do not give their prospectors a computer to take notes on (CRM is non existant) - Yes there is a "Do Not Call List" but only for businesses they have actually raised money for or helped take the company to the market for a sale and created a new tombstone stone for their New website:

    http://www.madisonstreetcapital.com/

Sounds like Houlihan Smith created such a bad name for themselves that they had to change their name or it was sold to somebody else. I wonder if there is a tombstone for this transaction????

SCAM and stay away from these people, very rude lie to you all day long.

Houlihan Smith split into two companies: Madison Street Capital and Houlihan Capital. Don't be fooled by the new names. 1 big scam company simply split into 2 smaller scam companies.

Come on Michael, they don't have the capacity to raise money, nor have they produced any legitimate tombstones.  You clearly work there, Madison Street Capital is a joke.

I had an incredible experience with Houlihan Smith in everyway.  They were the ultimate in experience and professionalism.  Every single statement of fact in this blog is fabricated and false.  I hope the editorial opinions are based on some reality.  Needless to say, I doubt it.  His infantile complaint shows how little he knows about working with proactive and diligent investment bankers to accomplish goals.  Get a life.  Stay out of the business world until you know something about it.

A.V. Capital replies to Houlihan Scam
I found this blog interesting based on such modest fees.  My guess is that if 40K  put your former employee out of business by working with a bunch of smart guys that were trying to help him, you have no business blaming it on Houlihan Smith.  The company had a lot more problems than you must have been made aware of before it failed.  Maybe your former employer should blame you.  You worked there.

Businesses call businesses all the time to do business.  You only have to work with people you choose to work with based on your needs.  Quit whining.  Unless you actually do work with some one, your opinion of what may have been means nothing.

Good thought, maybe these  people should be working instead of blogging, including you and me.  Cutting down things we know nothing about seems to be a common pass time these days.

Loved your comments.  Nobody wants to take responsibility anymore.  The business owners or their employees.  This Houlihan company seems pretty aggressive.  Thank you for the in-site.  It's a company like that(proactive and persistent) that I want to work with.

You have been grossly misinformed.  They do tons of deals.  If the deals were not real you know they could not have a tombstone.  Quit lying.  What's in it for you?

How come most of the negative posting sound like they are from people who never retained this company or worked with them beyond the initial contacts.

None of the tombstones were from Madison Street Capital.  They all had Houlihan on them; and most of the tombstones were real deals done by Houlihan Smith & Company, before the merger with the "questionable" group.  None of the tombstones are dated either.
