You put personal info on the internet, they got your number and use FAKE scare tactic to get you to call back and reveal your Soc. Sec. Number so they can rob you (tax returns, bank loans in your name, etc.). Just report it to the FCC and your phone carrier. Do not call them back, block their call and ignore them. Don't put your phone # on anything internet related. It is almost never required.

So i called the numver back and a man gets on the phone and says "heres the problem, we are having a big issue because the auto loan you got from 2002 has been delinquent since 2006, im going to forward you to the federal office so youcan get this taken care of" which is funny because in 2002 i was 12 years old...didnt know they sold cars to 12 year olds. Learn something new everyday.

Recording stated that a civil suit had been filed against me, gave me a case number and said I should give the information to my attorney.

these people called my moms phone saying there was a restraining order against me....and there would be no reason for this.  they said they had a docket number....I live in a completely different state and have never been in trouble.  I am reporting this number to united fraud protection and the better business bureau.  Harrassing people is a crime....and harassing my mother is completely ridiculous.

i got the same call as everyone else. i was panicing at first then thought twice. they have to identify themselves first completely. i dont take kindly to threats though whoever it is calling.

Received a recorded message containing a court number and phone number to call.  I had to respond within 48 hours and there had been a restraining order.  However, all I could get from the number is a fast busy signal signal.  They never specified any details just saying to contact my attorney.....

I receievd the same call 2 times this week. They have told me the same crap... I spoke with a person at this company, they stated to me that I owed this Money to Att  wireless 1650.00. I am on the phone with ATT now and they are telling me I owe them Nothing and they are in the process to reporting them to federal officials now. They had my Full Ssn and they were also calling my 15 yr old daughters cell phone!!!

Who is behind this bogus phone number?  Is it a company looking to get business from people who are being harassed and want to find out who has this number BUT you need to pay someone for this info???????????

the scammers are out in FULL FORCE...our country has opened up a whole new format for devious, illegal behavior...we're starting to accept this chaotic nothingness and just blow it off by saying we need to block their calls?  Is that it??????

Boaz.Al   I got the same recorded message ..my mom actually played the recording to me over the phone yesterday 3-22-13.  I knew I did nothing wrong.. I havnt lived In Alabama for the past 3 years. Glad im not the only one getting that same recording!

it's a scam.  they will not allow you to call them back except from the number they called.  They will then ask a bogus question like your date of birth and if you answer yes to it, they just hang up.  If you try to call back, they block your number.  they are fishing to some poor soul out there who will be honest in answering their questions then will try to suck them dry.

I got a call from this number. It's an automated call. My caller ID says Michigan call. They say the company name is United Fraud  prevention. They said I have a lawsuit pending, a civil matter and restraining order. They give me a case number. I don't live in that state and I've never had any issues with civil law or any other for that matter. I called the number and entered "0" cause the other numbers they give you to push don't work. When the guy answers he's very unprofessional and in a rude tone asks me my name. I tell him, if he called me he should know what my name is. He hung up on me at that point. I believe this is a scam and they should be reported.

Be careful who you are calling to report them to because the number I called (who called me with this bogus stuff) said the company was United fraud prevention.

Received the message about a lawsuit and restraining order. Called back asked them the matter they said an account from lacks furniture of something against my wife. I angrily informed them there was no such account man hurriedly hung up. Also informed them I was a Criminal Justice and Civil Law Instructor. Man about crapped himself.

I just got the same call! First, a recorded message came on rapidly spitting out some type of docket number saying I have a restraining order on me, which is absurd, and said I had to have my attorney call within 24 or 48 hours. It initially gave me the option to speak with someone, but when I pressed the corresponding number, the call disconnected. I called back and spoke to a RUDE man named McGillicuddy (Like Lucy's maiden name on I Love Lucy). He asked for the docket number, I gave it. He then asked for my name which I refused to give. I said if this is legit, you should know my name from the docket number I provided. (Before calling the number back, I Google it and saw this forum, so it added to my skepticism). This infuriated the man and he started yelling and saying he's had a long day and he'll just have the sheriff serve me my papers and when I get in front of him in court, I better not ask if we can do a settlement for this matter! I told him "Good luck with that" and he hung up in my face.

I got this message yesterday. docket # civil suit investigation, & a restraining order being put against me.Called my parents too & left this threatening message looking for me.I have put a restraining order on someone.its not CIVIL & you can't call it in. I blocked # & called LIFELOCK.& leaving on message forward to my attorney & "GOOD LUCK!" laughable.Its a Scam.

Oh! & I live a states away from MI never been to MI. & they used my maiden name which has been completely (middle name too) legally changed for 9yrs. I'm 44..calling my parents. seriously?? I also reported them. there are a million scams out there...BEWARE!

I, too have received these calls. The first day I received the call at my home number, cell number, and my mother's.  Saying the same as everyone else is reporting (regarding lawsuit, restraining order, claim/affadavit number and to have my attorney contact them within 24/48 hours). Today, I received the same call at the same exact time at all 3 numbers again!  I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (but just like the other 6, they are all unresolved as the BBB cannot get a reply out of them either) and also went to donotcall.gov and filed a complaint there as well.  There seems to be no way to resolve this at this time as you cannot speak with a person.  Therefore, I am complaining anywhere I can so to hopefully stop these phishing phone calls!
