This phone number is part of a Craigslist SCAM. it starts off as a job ad on CL, you fill out what you believe is an application.. in reality they are collecting info from you and will call and try to sell you credit reports, insurance, etc... SCAM

i filled out a bunch of applications of craigslist. all of a sudden im getting  phone calls from all these different area codes (really annoying esp. with no message)..so i decided to google the last # who called me (3147354450) & i was brought here...stupid me i should have known it was all a scam ~~ those jobs were too good to be true, its funny i live & applied for all jobs in MA and the number is out of MO ? .... thanks for pages like this, its been really helpful.

Who is this and why are they calling?

I just recieved a call from this number and it left no message. I did a reverse lookup and it is from Monroe City, MO.

I got a call from this number everyone is talking about this afternoon at 1:30.  I have been applying for jobs recently, but none on craigslist.  I remember the job I applied for that asked me for my carrier... it was a job on careerbuilder that was listed for Hanover, MD and was listed "Confidential Company."  I should have known better.. I'm in recruiting and applied for a confidential company!! The job description seemed genuinue, though. Beware, if a company will not give out it's name, then it's either a scam or just no good.  I hope they didn't ask for any other private info besides my #.  Does anyone remember what other info was asked for?  Scary... people should probably get real jobs and make some honest money. GET A LIFE PEOPLE!!

People ask what could they do with the info. Well, a few things. They can sell your number to a ton of other scammers. If you registered and gave them your email address make sure it is not the same password you use for your email. Another thing to watch out for is any information like SSN, driver license number ect. Don't bother calling them back because they will just hang up on you. Go change all your passowords. Don't open emails from people you don't know, and if your carrier permits maybe even block the number.

i just received a call from this number. when i picked up, no one picked up the phone. i called back and said "all circuits are busy now" this is a total scam!!!!!!!!!!!!

314 is a St. Louis, MO area code. It's a Craigslist phishing scam.

Yep, count me in at 12:18 Eastern NYC for a call from this number.
I must admit I was hoping it was my serial prank caller who accidently forgot to block their number...alas, Craigslist is the culript.

I must have been called by the same phishing company. I applied for a job in Savannah, GA and got a call from this 314 number while I was at work. I can't answer my phone at work and they did not leave a message. I sure would like to know what company is calling me and all these other people.

Same story, just recceived a call from this number and just applied for jobs on craigslist but in Alabama. Missed it. no message, no intent to return call or answer in the future.

I applied for a couple of positions through my local newspaper's yahoojobs and Career Network has many jobs listed. They say they hire for all of these companies that are listed, but I am starting to wonder. I got a call from this number, they didn't lmom and 'all circuits were busy' when I returned the call. Curious! I wondered why they asked who my cell carrier was.

I filled out a few applications for jobs via craigslist. Not sure what info they have which is sooo scary! I think in the future if you are ever directed through a series of pages just close the window. Its so sad people have to deal with idiots like this. Pathetic!

I applied for tons of jobs on Craigslist that had immediate reply emails saying to fill out app on their site..  [***] Scams.  They just called me too but no one was on the line.  It sort of freaked me out so I googled the num...  I changed my passwords

I missed a call from this number an hour ago. I thought it was my boyfriend who is in school in St Louis but turns out it wasn't. No voicemail was left. I go on craigslist quite a bit but I don't know if I've applied for anything recently.

I got a call from this #, they said it was about a online job app, they said their computers were down so they couldn't tell me which job app or company it was for, but they wanted to do a 5 to 45 minute survey, go figure, why would they want to do that if they can't tell me the job it's for, I applied for a job on Craigslist, seem they get scams through there probably

I got a call from this number about 5 minutes ago. Got an automated message talking about a position I applied for, said wait for the next representative, and got disconnected.

Same here...frankly it's annoying.

Same number, called at 3pm. I have been applying for jobs via Yahoo as well as some other places. I guess I'll learn not to apply for 'confidential' positions, although I did get a call back from a REAL job the day after sending in my resume.

We all still need to be aware that these people are preying on us. Effin losers.
