Did get a call, asked why they wouldn't id themselves to me and they said it was because the employer didn't want people contacting them. Sounds like a Great(sarcastic) company to work for!!! They gave me the same story 45 min interview I told them I would call back but the phone # doesn't go through.  Another SCAM.

Ditto on the call, they left a message that it was a call regarding a job and that the company is confidential until I go through the preliminary interview via telephone???  SCAM???

This number hit me today. I too was searching for jobs on Craigs List. Afte hitting the number up on Google, it's starting to look like a scam.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone, but no message was left. If I do not recognize the number, I do not call back. I hate phishing scams and that is what this is. I have been looking for a job for almost 2 years and have sent in numerous resumes to a gmail address. I sure won't in the future unless I can find correct information.

Craigslist applicant. Got taken advantage of. How do we stop it?

I got a call from this number yesterday afternoon/evening...it was on my missed call list.  I have friends pretty much all over the country so didn't think anything of it until I searched it on google.  I haven't applied to any jobs on craigslist and in the recent ads I've put on CL selling things, I did not include my phone number.  However, I did recently get emails from something called 'career tin' (I think)...possibly related?  Perhaps.

I got a call and no one said anything on the line.  When I called back this number, they indicated it was regarding an application I made online.  They indicated they had my resume right there on file, and they knew my name and info. However, when I asked more questions, they did not want to answer.  They said they were not home-based, and were operating out of an Orlando business as a 3rd party call center for verifications, called 3 Star Media, even though the 314 area code is Missouri.  (Orlando is 407)  When I asked for the address for the Orlando company, the supervisor would not give to me and hung up.

Yes, to all of you who are wondering who the Heck this is well..... the company's name is Employment Select. From everything I can find on line they are definitely shady. They prey on people looking for honest work, and try to sell them on extra schooling, telemarketing, and other things. They won't tell you who the "client" is that is interested in you, but try to wheedle out information about you  i.e. your cell provider. Be careful out there everybody. These scammers know you are vulnerable and they are taking full advantage of your situation.

I just missed a call from this number.  I didn't apply to any jobs on craigslist.  I just changed my number to.  I'm just going to ignore it and have my provider block it.

Beware because I haven't done anything I did before.  I haven't even been on craigslist since I bought my car two years ago.

I spoke to a man from 314-735-4450. He stated he was from an employment agency whose company would like to remain confidential. I had applied for a job on Hot Jobs. He had my resume. He said that I would be receiving a call from the hiring manager of the company to set up an interview. I asked if he was Phishing. He denied it. I said if I did not receive a call from the confidential company, I'd report it to the FBI. I never received the call. I reported the phone number to the FBI for PHISHING. DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL NOR APPLY FOR ANY JOBS THAT HAS COMPANY CONFIDENTIAL. They're getting your personal information!

just got a call from this stupid number. Please don't give out any information.

I got a call from this number today the whole thing gave me the creeps from the git go. it has scam written all over it! they would not give me the name of the company when i called that was trying to hire me. Also when i filled out the application they asked me for information about continuing my education and i clicked yes that i wanted to and then it popped up with ads about online university's and ads selling insurance because i clicked that i would like health care coverage. If this is a real job i don't think they would be trying to sell you stuff.

I received a call too today at I answered and nobody picked up!  I applied on job.com to a "confidential client" and when I wanted to send them my resume, they had me go to a different website to fill out their info! I thought it was weird when they asked what cell carrier you had, but didn't think much of it!  Wow, I'm really mad that this thing happens!  Sheesh, I'm just looking for a job!

Just called me...i've been on craigslist all morning job hunting.

Didn't say anything...after 12 hellos i hung up and called back. Someone answered asked for my number and then hung up.

I just received this call too. I can remember applying for a job from craigslist like 2 months ago. This call was received at 6:30 pm. I call the number back and it said that the number either was out of my service area or cannot be reached and call back later by an automated voice. It's weird that i typed the number in online and this came up. It's out of St. Louis. Heck i thought the Marines were calling me back to active duty.
