it is 11:03 and ive already had 3 calls from 3152074761  i looked up the number and its from a  verizon land line

I got a phone call, too, so I just looked it up and found this. I applied for a scholarship through fastweb yesterday...maybe that's why...?

This number has called me 3 times just today...on my cell phone! The only thing I can think of who it might be is someone that got my number off of the internet from one of those stupid surveys!

They keep calling me daily and never leave a message. When I called back the machine said to leave my name and munber and they will call me back. I have not and am not doing that.

You probably subscribed to something online, for education, they help you find a universtity.  Other numbers they might call from are

All you need to do is just answer them once and let them know not to call you again, and make sure they remove you from their directory, they are people like everybody else trying to make a living...

i've been getting calls from these numbers and all the other numbers listed for months, i'm 17 and currently not yet looking for colleges; especially in NY, since i live at least 3000 miles from there. I have called back, but you don't get charged money for calling them back; legally there is no way they could charge you 2400 dollars (or however much people are saying) for calling them, when you're just trying to get them to stop. There is no way that would even hold up in court, so there is nothing to worry about. Every time they call me they hang up, i have never once had anyone ask for me by name or talk to me, not that i would give out any information about myself if they did.

Just don't forget that, you can't give out information, you don't know who they are or what they are trying to do! So just be careful.

Received 4 calls yesterday (2 different numbers) asking for my husband by his legal name, which he never uses.  They said they were responding to his online inquiry for information about colleges, and they had his name, email and phone #.  Problem is, he has NEVER filled out ANYTHING online, so that's total BS.  We've been on the Do Not Call registry for a few years, and just lately have gotten a rash of marketing calls.  Grrrr!

I entered a contest online last night for a free gas card from exxonmobile. I clicked after entering my email.

Then, it took me to a page to fill out and click submit.

When I read at the bottom about AT&T customers can opt out of surcharges if they live in NY I clicked the back buttom instead of sumbit.

But one of the questions was are you interested in education or some such.

I called the number on the phone and immediately got bombarded with university callers. They are a marketing company trying to get me to go to classes. They'll have telemarketers call you about courses you can take.

Dummy me, I said OK. I should just find one myself.

See, I'm on the do not call registry and as soon as I called back and left a message it gave them permission to call me.

this is so weird I'm totally getting these too and its soo annoying, i thought i was the only one!! Anyone know how to get them to stop?

Hmmmmm,  This seams all to strange that people all over the country would be getting the same phone call from the same number. All to strange.

that's why your getting the phone call, you probably signed up for something and was offer more junk and fell for it then they got your number and called you to confirm shipping of whatever it is you signed up for. My advice don't fall for those free offers in your email inbox, all it is, is a scam and as soon as you fill out the forms BOOM!! they got your name address number sometimes even social security number. that's all they need to run up your credit report. it happens all the time, it's happened to me.

Filed police report with local Police Dept and complained to Oswego, NY Police Dept. {Oswego, NY can't take official report w/o address.  CALL ANYWAY!  Maybe with enough calls they'll find the address.}

This is killing me! omg they called at 4:18 AM and the call woke up the entire family! they called again 27 times today IN ONE DAY! , and leave no message, i refuse to answer! they won't stop... how do i block them? Please tell me. its already been a week and they keep calling!

They called me 3 times today! Never leaves a message either.

They first called me over the weekend on my cell phone and when I answered the phone no one answers and they haven't left a message.

They have called at least 3 times each day since Saturday and now I don't answer since they didn't want to talk to me when they first called!

wow looks like im not the only person with this problem.

# keeps calling along with a bunch of other numbers.  Usually calls come continuously every 30mins. to an hour.  Usually i just ignore the calls, but when your phone is ringing constantly for 2 weeks straight... it gets a lil irritating.  Finally i picked up and asked them to place me on a DNC list today and i have been call free for 3 hours! Its finally nice and quiet ;)
