- ElizabethI missed this caller several times. No message. I don't have a landline, only a cell phone number. I saw that Google Voice routed the call into my spam folder. I changed the settings to just outright block the number. At least they won't be calling me again.
- Caller: unknown
- judyI am on the no call list. I have received many calls recently not only from this number regarding lower credit card rates. Leave us alone!

- AllenCall has recorded message that this is the last chance to lower credit card rate, that I have ignored multiple messages at home. If I want to lower my card rate, press 1. When I pressed it, the guy came on and asked whether I pressed 1 to lower my rates. They then ask what my credit card balances are and how many cards I have. They claim to be able to lower all card rates to 6%, but first need to verify if my card is eligible. I asked their name and if they are related to my card company, he said they are "Leading Edge". He then asked for my c card number.
Most likely a scam for ID theft. They claim to know me, but cannot give me any information.- Caller: Leading Edge (could be made up)
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KBReceived call late morning (10/5). Didn't recognize the number, so didn't answer.
- ALCalled left no message. Called back, same message as those listed above. Are these half wits above the law?

- Joe in NJSame story, amazing how many idiots breed!
- NoelleJust got another call from these scammers. Since I saved them as "scam", I knew who it was right away and didn't answer. Now I just need to assign them to the "no ring" list in my phone and hopefully I won't be bothered again.
The government needs to shut these scammers down. They are using multiple numbers to call people 24//7 at all hours of the day and night, on their cells and at work, everything. What a pain.- Caller: Card Services SCAM

- Noelle replies to MBMB, what do you mean by we are all "sweepers"? Do you mean that we enter sweepstakes in hopes of getting something for nothing, and stupidly give our phone numbers out?
In my case, I can definitely say, no. When asked for my phone number by a check out clerk, I have a fake memorized that I provide. I'm careful about giving out my number for several reasons, including because it's a cell and I don't want to pay to go over my minutes just so some scammer can call me.
However, I have noticed that the more reports I file at the donotcall.gov website, the more frequently the calls arrive from these people. - cjKeep calling and leave no message!!!!!
- 248-496-1499This company is ANNOYING - They call every week. Say this is my last chance to take advantage of lower interest rates on my credit card. I have tried to call the number back - they do not answer. I have tried to send text - no response. I have responded as the message indicates and "dialed 1" to talk with a representative. They are RUDE and hang up on you.

Lake Orion, MI - StewNo message, no one there when I do answer
- NoelleBeing on the Do Not Call list only prevents legitimate businesses from calling you. If they do, you should report them.
These scam callers do not abide by the DNC rules. Report them to the DNC every time they call you. THEN you must contact your state attorney general's office to report the scammers, mentioning that you've repeatedly reported them to the DNC.
When the Atty Gen gets involved is when all the DNC records are actually looked at by someone (up until you get the lawyers involved, the reports are merely filed away for future litigation, should you pursue it).
To recap:
The government Do Not Call list will not stop scammers from calling you. You must report them to the DNC to leave a "paper trail", then contact the attorney general. The atty general will then access the DNC complaint logs and advise you from there. I forgot how much the fines are, but it's around $16,000 or more per illegal call, if I remember correctly.
