I get calls from the CBE Group, (located in Iowa, I hear) every day and night; usually before 9am and right before 9pm. It's excessive and annoying. Just another debt collection/consolidation outfit.

I get calls from this number multiple times per day. I have excellent credit and have never defaulted on a loan. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and encourage all of you to do the same. I have received a message from the FCC and they are investigating the matter. Accepted the call but didn't say anything until they did. When they said "hello" first, I yelled "Who is this!" she answered  "Evelyn". I then yelled "What do you want!" and she asked for Raj. I yelled back "Wrong Number Dumb A@#$" and she hung up.  Numbers keep changing.  Blocking numbers and "Do Not Call" list seem inaffective.

In the last 7 hours I have gotten 4 calls from this number. With no messages left in my voicemail.. If it is about my student loans i have a deferment so why they would be calling is beyond me.... & 4 times a day with no messages. what crap!

See this number on my caller id costantly. They won't leave a message and i don't call back if there's no message. Anyone else know who this is?

You know, I am 70 years old and don't have a student loan.  Why would they be calling me?

This is the second caller to my phone. The other calls 3 times a day, no message.
This caller started today. I have 'blocked' both of them so my phone doesnt even ring anymore.
As a visitor to the US, it's doubtful I owe any agency any money.
Ive had my number for 18 months so I dont know where they get their info from.

Just got the first call today. Don't have student loans, and not really sure why they would call me. Didn't answer, and if they call back I will answer to see who they are looking for.

I also got a call from this number more than 9 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is very annoyed. I do not owe a student loan matter of act do not owe anyone at the moment. Al, I want them is to stopped callin me.

You mean treating people with respect is calling 10 times a day starting at 8 am.

CBE GROUP Student loan consolidators. Call upwards of 5x per day, for months.  When they give up, some other agency takes over. I am not a student nor have taken out loans. Maddening.

Interesting. I got about 9 today, and about 25 the while week. I don't have student loans though. Its very annoying and needs to stop!

You are making assumptions.  Let me tell you my experience:
I have been tracking these calls for nearly a year.  In the beginning I answered every call if I was home.  Time and again there was no one to speak to.  The number hung up on me after a brief period of silence.  After weeks of phone tag I finally got a person!  They were looking for someone I didn't even know.  They tried to pump me for my information, like my SSN.  Repeatedly I explained that they had the wrong number.  The individual called me a liar and said the calls would continue until I cooperated.

I used my phone book to look up that person and found them in another community.  My daughter googled my name and discovered there were close to forty people with my common name.  I was patient for a few months, but the company has multiple numbers and they switch frequently.  Am I supposed to be endlessly patient?

My health has been a problem since I injured my back and hip.  It was difficult to answer these calls 6 to 8 times a day.  I use a walker sometimes.  I stopped using the answering machine and got caller I.D.

These people call me 6 and 7 times a day! It starts at 8 a.m. and doesn't usually stop until a few minutes before 9 p.m.!!! I never get a person when I answer, and when I've tried to call back, it just rings off the hook! Getting fed up with this hoohah!

I believe its collections for default student loans.

This # calls non stop.. Something should be done about these people.  It's a collection agency I think, and they do not follow the laws.  They call and harass constantly.
