This number calls me from sunrise to sunset.  When I answer I am also asked for my ssn. Not gonna happen.  If it is for student loans I don't know why they are calling me.  I have always paid out of pocket.  I've never had any student loans.

They have called twice so I finally called back.  They are based in Iowa and were looking for someone named Bell Phelps with a birthdate of 2/1975.  I told him he was way off.  That is a year after I graduated from HS!!  He told me somehow the phone number got associated with this person and he would take my number off the list.  He thanked me for calling to clarify it.

This DIRT BAG BOTTOM FEEDER DEBT COLLECTOR called on my wife's cell phone... They left NO MESSAGE and we do not answer any calls that we do not know who they are from.
We have not had the cell phone number that long, and have had alot of such calls.   Some are looking for some one that we do not know and who has never lived at our address.   We suspect that they are looking for the previous owner of the phone number.

Screw you [***]! Some people, especially with this economy, would rather be able to feed their kids than to have to pay a debt. Sometimes this thing called" life" happens and people come into situations that can not be controlled. People have good intentions, but when it came down to my situation, of losing my job, I opted to let some bills go to be able to put food in my kids mouths. After all, money is just money and a human life is life. So you need to get a life. I think it is great that you have never had to experience a difficult time.

These people are ridiculously obnoxious! The don't care how early they call or about anything other than reaching their goal... They are a debt collection agency and they are relentless. They also don't care how what they do or how they do it effects you or anyone you know. They seem to be willing to call/contact friends and/or family to obtain private and personal info that will help them collect on a debt for their client.  They don't care or believe you when you try to explain that the supposed debt isn't real or valid or that you aren't the person they are trying to reach. I've had them call me for things that were valid, things that were NOT valid, and supposedly trying to reach someone that wasn't even me. I've often thought that it was all just a ruse to accomplish what they want. I SO wish that someone would put them OUT OF BUSINESS!!! I HATE THESE PEOPLE!

I get calls from this number too, but my student loans aren't in default - I'm still in school, and will be for two more years!

Just get the Android program, "Call Blocker." That'll take care of these phuckers.

They are calling me at least 6 times a day CBE so I downloaded Mr.Number great app! They are blocked on the first ring...lol

I have received one call a day from this number. When I answer all I hear is music. It can't be for my student loans, I just paid two off before their due dates this year. My other student loan is current. I don't have a credit card or bank loans.

This number belongs to CBE group. Their website makes them look like angels ...just here to help out. To paraphrase their mission statement "we've been bleeding innocent citizens of their limited incomes since your grandfather lost his shirt in the depression of 1933."

After reading the EMPLOYEE PLEDGE I seriously want to vomit! That is the biggest pile of CRAP I think I've EVER read! There is NOTHING, NOTTA, ZILCH, ZERO, and dare I again saying NOTHING ETHICAL ABOUT THESE JERK WADS! Sorry, but I don't think I'm allowed to say what I REALLY meant! I truly do not understand how people that work for the CBE Group, and others like it go home and sleep at night!

I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR POST! Nearly EVERYTHING you described is 100% illegal. You need to contact the Attorney General's Office in your state and they will be able to tell you how to proceed. The CBE Group could be slapped with MEGA fines if you can show this is happening. You may only have to fill out affidavits and phone records provided by the others could together be all thats need to put this DUMP OF A COMPANY in their place! I don't know the requirements of proof, but your AG's office will! Please!!!! Anyone experiencing illegal activity from the CBE Group, DON'T GET MAD....GET THEM!!! If you don't know if they're treating you illegally contact YOUR STATES AG and find out! Don't know the number? GOOGLE IT! YOU FOUND THIS SITE, YOU CAN FIND THE AG's #!!! We have the power to stop these people from harassing us, but you HAVE TO DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN COMPLAIN! AND DON'T THINK SOMEONE ELSE WILL DO IT! This number calls me several times a week. They now call me in the morning 8:15am. I am pretty sure they are not allowed to call at that time. There is never any message that is left but they always call. The caller id says CBE Group. How do I get them to stop calling.

CBE Group just called me this morning at 8:40am, I also thought that you are not allowed to get these  numbers calling before 9am. I did not answer the call and they left no message.

Finally answered after ignoring them several times.  Asked for someone who didn't exist.  Hard to believe as I have had this cell number since 1999, and I was the first and only person to ever have my number.  Sounds like they are up to no good.
