Of course they won't work to rid us of them. Our system is called capitalism. The government doesn't get to decide who pursues the dream of independent wealth. If anybody in power seriously tried to curtail that, they'd be out of a job. And what business would hire somebody with that kind of background? So our only option is to not do business with companies we don't like. It's either that or gov't regulation, and how many Americans really want that? You should also keep in mind that not all of these outfits are outsourcing their call center jobs offshore; SOME of them are providing paychecks to Americans, allowing them to feed their families & stay off welfare. Surely you think that's a good thing, don't you?

Was getting calls from these fools on a daily basis, even started calling twice a day; sent an email to the following individuals way up the chain in the company, calls stopped very soon afterwards;

I would like to have Ebsco Teleservice stop calling my house asking if we would like to renew our subscription to a magazine.  I have told them no, but they keep calling.

Been calling everyday for past week or two.  When machine picks up they leave no answer.  Even had calls on Sunday.  PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!  STOP CALLING

EBSCO calls me house at least once a day, sometimes twice a day - as soon as I answer they hang up.  Annoying and intrusive.

I believe these people sell magazines.  They may also sell other products.  They call my house every single day, and I just let it go to voicemail.

I get calls from this number everyday.  I don't know anyone in Ohio.  PLEASE STOP CALLING!

People like you are the ones that people doing teleservices make fun of.  Before you start talking about the do not call list make sure and do your homework on what the requirements are!!! Just because you are on that list does not mean you cant be called...if you have done prior business with a company(most likely the magazine they are calling you to renew) than the do not call list doesn't apply!!! Your probably the the jerk that curses out some of the very nice people that work in these offices that have families and work 2 and 3 different jobs to try and support them.

I finally called the number and asked that my number be removed from their call list. Very polite rep said they will comply and to allow  24-48 hrs for removal.

They call my house twice every nite for the past 3 weeks.  I am on the do not call list so why are they calling me?

Been calling last few days just called 800.456.5105 and they are legit. Calling to renew eating well mag told them we were not renewing lady was very polite and is removing us from the list.

Every morning before I want to wake up my phone rings once and the view on my phone tells me it is a call from Edsco, these calls are unwanted and I want them stopped without giving you all my personal information.  What a rip to sell a number of a elderly unweathy woman.

I called the 330 492 5105 number.  The person who answered, transferred me to "sales," and I discovered that they were wanting to renew my subscription to Newsweek.  I find it difficult to understand that a reputable subscription like Newsweek would lower themselves to be marketed by a company that makes repeatable harassing phone calls.  I reported Ebsco Telecom Services to "donotcall.gov" and also blocked their number from my telephone.  We need to find ways to fight back against companies like this that feel free to call us any time of the day or night and not even identify themselves except for the Caller ID that we pay for in our telephone services.
